Think performance wise, this is exactly the sort of position he has historically failed in. Whether he will this time we’ll know soon enough after those games, but I don’t think anyone can argue there hasn’t been a massive improvement.He’s got us three points off a Champions League spot with the two teams above us next to play.
I mean, I’m struggling to see the negatives to be honest. If you don’t think that’s a massive improvement over the last half a decade then I suggest you go to the car park, climb back in your spaceship and go back to your home planet.
The proof will be if he can shrug off his nearly man persona and if he doesn’t are we just going to get his greatest hits of excuses.
NB thats not to say it was expected he should be challenging for 5th / CL but the bottom line is we are, so can he do it or not…..
