2025/26 David Moyes

I'd give Moyes a 10-year contract if he won us a pot, Mr Clutch and all. But people telling skeptics he won a cup at West Ham so we should "keep the faith" are asking us to ignore his 13 seasons at Everton and his regular, wilful weakened team selections, self-inflicted eliminations, and penalty shoot-out embarrassments. You either believe in him or you don't. I never will. I'd like to say hopefully I'll be proven wrong in time, but I really wouldn't want to risk my remaining decades on that...
That's fair
I'm happy enough at the moment, wouldnt want 10years, but also would like to think the club have a succession plan.

If he can win the Conference League next season it could be the right time to leave on a high though. It went downhill at West Ham after that. He's not getting any younger either.

Looks like he's got us on course for Europe. I'd expect us to get above Fulham and Brentford now we've got players back.

Not if we play like we did in the first half against Brighton.

3 points from Brighton, Leeds, Wolves & Brentford would suggest otherwise unfortunately.

….he said it, the manager a huge attraction to younger players;

Yeah, interesting in the full article he says he’s been impressed with Tyler and Adam’s progress since the summer…

Seriously though you can never read too much into these first interviews they’re so embarrassingly rehearsed and media trained.

Big club, great fans, great stadium, can’t wait to play under the manager…

Think you’ll find it was

“Massive club” “exceptional fans” “massive and amazing stadium” “amazing manager”.

And he is absolutely bang on

What he should have said …. Version 1001

“I’m joining a club on the up, they have a fabulous stadium, a manager who has turned them from relegation dog-fighters into a team on the edge of European qualification, a chance to get regular first team football and a set of fans - most of whom are fantastic, but there is a rump of them that would complain at anything and ignore real progress when they see it in front of their eyes.”

Or something like that.

I pray you're right.
