I don't think he plays high enough up the pitch, he's got to be hugging the touch line against their back line.

Or playing closer to the forward. He's just coming deep for short passes and it's so easy to defend against.

We have barely got up the pitch. Tactic is hit it long for Beto or hope McNeil can bring it up or Myko gets lucky from 50 yards.

Most of this 11 is crap and we’ve known that for years.

Technically very good. Doesn’t have it between the ears to be an elite player, either in game intelligence or attitude/personality.

To a degree that could be improved with better management, and he is young, but gut feeling right now is there is a definite ceiling on his potential which will make his fee look a bit silly.

I’ve seen nothing to convince me that signing two new full backs for 20m each in the summer would have been worse business than signing this lad. He just doesn’t seem to have settled or shown anything to suggest he was worth the outlay.
