The Oldies Thread

I am no chef but was told some time ago that this is the result of the fat temperature being too low.
175c in my local chippy...there's a little hand written reminder taped on a back wall and their fish & chips are pretty good.
I've never had a 'Potato Fritter' as they call them here but mrs degsy has and said it was ok,then went back to her usual 'extra' of a 'pineapple fritter'
My 'extra' is what I call a Chop Suey roll.
The chippy calls them Spring Rolls
Mrs degsy calls them 'Cat & Cabbage' rolls

The Joys Of Retirement (Part 678)

No longer having to attend the works Xmas do.

Arrive soaking wet, as the weather is always Baltic.

Crap food at extortionate prices.

A massive argument over the bill.

Inebriated RS colleagues ( who last stepped into Analfield 20 years ago) trying to sing YNWA , and expecting you to join in!!!!

Having to endure the last bus-train home with the antagonistic drunks.
