Morning all, bit cloudy but at least it’s dry and mild. Our Christmas tree has finally given up the ghost. I’ve forgotten just how old it is but must be at least 25 years old as it was bought when both our children still lived at home. Took it out the box and the “needles” just fell off the branches leaving twisted bare wire. I was gutted. A journey to find a replacement was fruitless. The garden centre was packed, never seen it so busy, and out of Christmas trees in the size we needed, retail park likewise, packed and tree less. I decided to not bother having one, couldn’t face the thought of trailing round to find everywhere was out of stock and at least it would save taking it down and packing it all away in the New Year. Then by coincidence got a phone call from grandkids asking if I was putting up our tree. Realised I was being a joyless old git so have managed to get one online, hope it’s as good as the pictures when it arrives.
