Do you feel old?

I'm 65, don't know where the years have gone but still love life and try and keep myself fit.
Retiring next May, but have a big garden to keep me busy
I average about 10k steps a day through the week and go out on the lash at the weekend, watch plenty of local football as well as my grandkids on Saturday mornings, going to see Madness in Glasgow on Saturday night and looking forward to nutty dancing for a couple of hours.🙂

Heard they're a great gig. A right laugh. Enjoy. Cliche but a few pics would be nice.

In no particular order .... Getting up 2 or 3 times a night for a slash , struggling to drink more than 4 or 5 pints before going on the shorts, can't be a55ed staying out late and prefer day drinking if I go out, rarely go out now only to watch sport on tv with mates, majority of people in work younger than me, wknds taken up by kids activities, scared of hangovers. Sure there's a few more that I can't think of at the moment

70 next summer. I have had a crazy immune system all my life which eventually caused me to need a liver transplant 15 or so years ago. That requires umpteen pills a day everyday and although it's been a wonderful gift it has now developed a large abscess which has caused periods of hospitalisation late last year and this through infection related poir health. A long period of IV antibiotics has made me a bit more chipper but didn't zap the abscess so probably some further intervention on the cards. No opportunities for exercise other than the odd gentle walk. So, feeling my age? Yes, and half as much again I think😆

I often do but then i encounter a Gen X or Boomer who believe all music stopped being good at the exact same time they started balding, at which point I feel young again. I figure i've got another decade at least before I start veering into the 'everything is crap and was better back in my day' stage.

It’s when you get barred from Jersey for being a narky arl get and take an obsessional interest in black and white photos of old footy players, that you know you’re finished.
