New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

I haven't used these services since we moved, so somebody else may have a better idea than me, but if you get off the underground at Lime Street, the soccerbus goes from Commutation Row near to the Walker Art Gallery, at least it's not far to walk from Lime Street? I've no idea how close to the stadium it goes though. There's also a bus from Liverpool One bus station, would that be walkable from James Street? Having suffered a similar injury myself a few years back I certainly found out how awkward it could be getting to the game!
Nice one, just looking now. The bus from outside of Lime Street seems to get pretty close, the corner of Great Howard and Blackstone.

You know, the thought has crossed my mind.

Contact the club, give them a call, they may be able to help in some way.
If you were to get the train to Bootle New Strand rather than get off at Sandhills, the shutlle bus service to HD is across the road. It is £2 each way, pay by card and drops you off a short walk from the entrance. The return is a bit further to walk and is the Bootle side of Boundary St on Great Howard St. The buses are queued up after the game. Travelling to. the stadium, the service stops 30 mins before kick off.

May assist.

Looking for suggestions as I'm not really sure what to do for the best. Have tickets for the Nottingham Forest game, travelling in from Chester. Usually just get off train at Moorfields and walk in. Unfortunately my son has a fracture in his foot. He's in a boot and on crutches, so the 1.6 mile walk in is a no-no, but there's just no great options to get reasonably close - even getting the train to Sandhills leaves pretty much a mile walk.

Thinking the train to Lime Street and then 919 bus to Blackstone is the play. Bit further to walk for the return bus at Bentinck Street - but have seen taxis heading towards town along Great Howards after the match, so might just jump in one of them.

You could get a cab to Bar Coast at the bottom of Blackstone St. I've seen cabs drop off disabled people here and I think your son counts as temporary disabled . There are stewards to give help if needed .

@PulpBiggles I was going to suggest this BUT there's also getting to your seat once in the ground. Where are your seats? How many steps to climb and then go back down? Frustrating as it is, it might be a case of him giving this one a miss as @Bez2k2k said?
As a person with mobility problems I can tell you it aint easy. I haven't seen any particular disabled support with the buses although people can be kind. At the ground the is not enough seating outside. On the concourse, no seating at all.
Leaving is a real pain, everyone is in a rush so not really looking out for anyone less steady on their feet. The buses back are major queues and take an age. Walking with dodgy hip to town is 30+ minutes. Train stations and all trains across the water are chocker.
It aint much fun!

Dunno if this has been discussed, but interested in hearing your views on this one and if you agree with your fellow Blue (who might post of here for all I know!).

I'm not saying your away end isn't nice of course, I've never experienced it! Not the point of my post!

But taking that tweet at face value, personally (I know I'm biased because I do lots of aways, but also obviously I'm thinking about our own stadium here too), I don't think the conditions of the away end is gonna make any material difference to the match, so why wouldn't you make it nice. I'd want the away end at the SOL to be as welcoming as possible, as I want us to have away fans in our pubs etc. those travelling to support their team deserve decent facilities imo.

It's hardly like treating them with respect is gonna make them sing louder, or make the team on the pitch better. So those who have spent good moeny to travel to your city probably should have as good a facilities as the home end.
