To nowhere you know we're i am
The way we approach the FA Cup in starting in January is where we'll really see what's what. We aren't going down and we're not going above 10th-12th so focus fully on those FA cup ties.I think one of the things that will define the way the club is going in the future is how we handle the plethora of bids that will come in for Ndaiye very shortly.
The big ideas and price hikes for fans are not worth suffering if we remain a selling club.
Top sides seldom sell prized assetts in their prime.
We didn't need a domestic trophy when he took over. Less than a year ago we were were in the muck.Be interesting to see what this upcoming new manager none of us really know about can do.
He's never won a domestic trophy. He never will.
We didn't need a domestic trophy when he took over. Less than a year ago we were were in the muck.
We needed a Manager with a track record of improving poor teams and poor squads, taking relegation candidates to European places.
We should be mindful of acting too entitled. From where we have been, we are years away from competing for anything other than Europa league places. There's too many more balanced, more settled, and better quality squads in the league for us to consider anything other than that for the moment.
Today's society teaches us that success can and should be instant. In reality we need to have patience.
If (and it is still an if) we finish in the top half of the table, in a season where the league is extremely competitive in the middle (more so than years gone by) then we can consider it a success.
And the football is better as well. That counts for something
But he did.We were on our arse after Lampard, and we needed pragmatism then. I defended Dyche a lot for it, we weren't replacing him until new owners and and the objective was new stadium as a Premier League team.
Moves didn't need to win a game in his first 8 games or something and we still wouldn't have been in the bottom 3.
Last 2 seasons we've earned the points to finish closer to Europe than relegation. This teams aim is Europe.
Everton, under new owners with capacity to spend with point deductions behind us were a totally different proposition. At that point, Everton should undoubtedly be looking for a manager who can make us compete and bring a new mentality to the club. Not just tread water.
But he did.
And the promoted teams were woeful. What are we saying, then? That the improvement in form, style of play was pointless? It's worth recognising that we are a more competitive outfit this year, and that we do have a different mentality. Dyche talked about only being able to play within our means. The noises from Moyes and players this year is about higher standards.
The reality is that it is a much more competitive league this year. Not finishing in the European places or going far in domestic cups doesn't mean we are treading water
But he did. We were sinking and he was publicly slating the players. He had to goWell, the point is simple.
Short term shouldn't dictate long term.
If Dyche didnt throw the towel in/position undermined and kept going until the end of the season - TFG wouldn't have appointed Moyes in the summer.
Anyone got an Enigma machine they can lend me?we just are way of were US fans want to be. we DONT KNOW WHAT TFG expect or “think” etc before people start with it
it’s a huge turnover off and on the field
( one window ONE )
it’s not going to happen overnight
now clearly there is massive issues
squad recruitment, players needed
players who should be playing players
who need throwing to the lions.
all that is moyes/DOF/who ever does all that side of it.
the negativity really has been lunacy in my opinion.
you’d think we have moshri still selling everyone and still at goodison
it’s a long way to go.
ride it out lads it’s not like we haven’t
for 30 odd years
it’s not going to happen overnight
