New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Dave. Which 2 sides do you reckon are in the battle for control? I just assumed TFG gave their underlings the path to be followed. Who is batting for the fans here to rid us of some of the crap changes that have taken place?
Not the FAB lap dogs, for sure.

I cant answer that question accurately, but it'll be an organic development. The All Together Now alliance that swept away the last regime and the other groups of the past that stopped in their tracks overbearing owners and their plans like the Blue Union and KEIOC came out of nowhere and so will the campaign groups that'll get a grip of the over-zealous 'policing' and commercialisation of the club...and push for the Evertonisation of that 'facility' to turn it into a true home for Everton Football Club rather than a giant 'kin billboard for H*** D******** and Budweiser for that matter.

Anyone doubting that clash is coming dont understand us or our history.

There's not a lot they can do over transport, given where the ground is. Surrounded by water and only one road. Yes we need a station between Moorfields and Sandhills (more of a priority than the bloody Baltic one) but you've still got the capacity issues with Merseyrail and it'd still take years to get built. You can get the bus but you'll be stuck in traffic for ages from town. You can walk but it's less appealing in winter when it's freezing (and/or raining).

Once more bars and hospitality gets built on the dock road it'll encourage fans to head towards the ground earlier. After the game though fans just want to get away, especially with later kick offs and that leads to the mass exodus even before the end of the game.
Bus lanes to and from the stadium; the addition of gliders to the fleet of buses. Making sure that the city event schedule doesn't punch a hole right through EFC match day transportation plans...like yesterday where a rave gig for thousands was held 500 yards away, the Your Party conference was held in town and the Christmas market is up and running in town too.

All that would help considerably. That's possible within 12 months - and it should have been in place before we got to Regent Road.

Geordies in the exec boxes behind the family stand tonight block 127, standing there drinking out of wine glasses - which they decanted into coffee cups when challenged - wildly celebrating their goals and causing murder with fans, all of which had kids with them. Stewards stood there watching. Modern football in the hospitality age. Sickening really.
You’ll have kopites and utd in there too this season watch

They need to put a bus lane in, it would also clear traffic off the road.

Ultimately the city centre on a Saturday is always going to be chocker full of events, particularly in the build up to Christmas. Town was rammed yesterday.

The transport network in the city is inadequate. Even getting away from Anfield is a nightmare.

The fact the upper section is absolutely huge compared to the lower is the biggest problem. Was always going to be difficult to generate a good atmosphere considering Goodison was nearly always flat but we haven't done ourselves any favours.
I have not been in the lower South but the density of fans looks low. It just doesn't look full or intimidating

Same. Wont be renewing. It's obviously a boss stadium but the matchday experience isn't as pleasant as it was for me. Nightmare to get to, takes forever to get in, joke getting served.

What? Sanhills is about a 10 minute walk from the stadium and town is the same distance from hd stadium then goodison was from sandhills.

Hd stadium is less then 30 min walk from town. Goodison was miles away from anything.

You were just used to getting to goodison is all. Either that or you lived very close to goodison

I would like to add ferries to this list as well

I can't disagree with your thoughts on any of this but fear the "Peoples club" days are over. Too much dillution of the fan base has occured since the move.
Also i listen to fans joyous about the revenues for expensive food, drink and cost of match going as though it is of benefit to them....rather than kicking up about it.
Waxing lyrical about holding none football events beats me too. It's as if they think it will enable us to buy players of the calibre of Figo, Mbape, Messi etc.
It won't....i bet we continue buying bargain bucket "one's for the future"
If that is the case then it has to be qustioned if the upheavel was worth it.
Time will tell.
The owners want to make a killing from the venue but is Everton FC their number 1 priority. I can't call it.

The support from the lower Gwladys is dotted about everywhere. Someone made a fantastic point about the accessible zones and how they've caused a disconnect with the immediate pitch side team connection. The support is settling in, the stadium still has teething troubles (I can't believe the rugby league bunch drank the place so dry they broke the self serve machines!?!?!) and travel dynamics are still in the air.

Can anyone remember the upheaval of making Goodison all seater? And how long that took to become accepted and successful?

Completely agree with you mate.

Fans wanting to be exploited is like Turkey's voting for Christmas, and glorying in a stadium becoming a 'facility' for all forms of entertainment is beyond bizarre for a football fan.

The club's gone if we have a majority who think that away. I dont there is that majority though.

Result aside, it was horrendous at BMD yesterday.

Horrible to get to, horrible to get away from.

Absolutely freezing, the coldest I’ve ever been at the match. Wind blowing the rain into the South Stand.

Dreading the next few fixtures to be honest
