2025/26 David Moyes

I really find these disgraceful comments tbh, no Everton manager should be coming out with such [Poor language removed] and if they do they shouldn’t be in a job much longer.
That's just why I have always had doubts about Moyes,
He did a good job last season but for me he has a glass ceiling.
He just seems to accept we havnt a chance agaist anybody half decent.
The wolves game, the way he throws players under the bus , just remind me of why I was frustrated with him first time around.
Players must be made up listening to those remarks.
We rarely play decent football for more than a third of a match,
Every manager in the country knows what formation we are going to play and who will be playing so can set up to counter us.
He will get to the end of the season, possibly next, but hopefully we start looking for a manager who wants to start looking up in the football world.
The owners will let him stabilise us then will wave goodbye to him , going forwards if they have any ambition at all.

As scathing as I have been towards Moyes during the previous drop on form , I was actually trying to extend him some goodwill and was foolishly optimistic about yesterday's match. I know the midfield options were very limited after the gana debacle , his unwillingness to incorporate Alcarez from the start as a number ten or in a midfield 3 but as a disadvantage with Dewsberry hall positioned too advanced. The same issues that plagued us before the Fulham match seemed to resurface.

People have questioned the ability of DIbling and Aznou, as they have been rarely utilized on the pitch , but that's just Moyes he's incredibly wary of younger players, and I don't think he's keen in general on making subs , if he could play the starting 11 obviously that would include gana without a red card he'd opt for that approach.

I was pleased with his ability to adapt for the Fulham game but it seems he is reverting back to his restrictive tactics, those disconcerting post match comments once again demonstrate his defeatist mentality that creates a barrier in winning matches. Tues he has an opportunity to create a response towards yesterday's calamity or just add to the misery.

Cant argue with any of this mate, a really balanced argument.

Ultimately, after 25 years of management, he is still managing st the highest level, so why would he change it?

You see glimpses like we did against Fulham, but then Newcastle & Tottenham happen. His own caution is and always will be his biggest hindrance and after 25 years, i doubt that will ever change.

I am at an advantage/disadvantage, I listened to the match on the radio and they called it pretty straight. BBC Radio Merseyside (Stubbs + presenter) called the match live exactly how Moyes did in this 2 minute 28 second interview.
He didn't throw Tim Iroegbunam under the bus, even when prompted. He called newcastle physical and fast and better than us. On those three things that's the truth.
I hope Moyes isn't copping stick for being honest?
If he'd stood there and talked about fantastic moments of intensity, phenomenal play and passion, after us getting butt slammed for 90 minutes then I'd say he was well out of his depth.

Joelinton £40m
Guimaraes £40m

Took on versatility CM James Garner £9m and Tim Iroegbunam psr swap zero fee. Lets call a mismatch where we see 'em.

In fact, lets do it in full.

Pickford £30m.........................................Ramsdale loan
O'Brien £18m...........................................Livramento £32m+£8m
Tarkowski Free.......................................Thiaw £30m
Keane £25m...........................................Burn £13m
Mykolenko £18m ..............................Hall £28m
Garner £9m............................................Academy product
Tim Iroegbunam psr dodge 0....................................Joelinton £40m
Ndiaye £15m..........................................Guimaraes £40m
D-Hall £27m..........................................Elanga £55m
Grealish Loan........................................Woltemade £65m
Barry £27m............................................Barnes £38m

There's your difference, and their side has been together as a unit and playing more games (cup and euro) than ours. They subbed Schar (£3m) Tonali (£65m) gordon (£40m) Willock (£25m) Ramsey (£40m). They had more cash sat on the bench to be then subbed on (£173m) than we spent in spite of losses this summer. On the bench subbed on. Want to know the difference, get the accountants on and weigh up the differences.

Stubbs said on the radio yesterday it'll take 3 more windows to get the squad right from here, and that doesn't include January windows 'cos they're crap.
