Tonight’s comments and the one’s just after the league cup really, really annoyed me. They didn’t need to be said, he doesn’t need to give fuel to fans fire or juicy quotes for the media - just be the grey man in your interviews, how hard can it be after all these years!

Almost at self sabotage levels of stupidity.

He’s managing us in the same way he did first time round when we had to sell all our best players and had a 50p transfer budget.
He apparently has the final say on signings so needs to justify a £35m signing we chased all summer sitting on the bench, a striker for £20m+ who can’t score, a central midfielder he waxes lyrical about who is never fit, and a young left back for £9m who has played 0 minutes.
Can’t imagine the Friedkins will be at all happy with these type of comments.

Even though they hadn’t won away all season and played an away game in Europe on Tuesday night.

Could have let us know how much better Newcastle are than us at the presser last week, then 50.000 Evertonians could have stayed at home.

Did he say if Bournemouth are better than us? That’s a long trip for away fans if the manager thinks we’ve only got a chance if they play poorly.

Mr. Moyes’s remark is “knife to a gunfight” territory.

I just get the feeling we aren't glamorous enough for them and they have left us in the hands of their subordinates without being too interested how we're getting on as long as we're safe and keep bringing in the Premier League millions they'll be content. Well, I was amazed that their Plan B was to bring in Moyes last January. Don't get me wrong, he did a good job getting us safe, but it showed how unprepared they were for Dyche's departure and how unambitious their thinking was. Then came the summer transfer window when they didn't even have their own team in place, let alone trying to buy a new one. Fellas were still on gardening leave in August...

They spent a bit of money - they had to - but on what? €80m of it is sitting on the bench or missing sitters.

Deeply unimpressive so far.

I'm not convinced our owners are that bothered in truth. I get the feeling we're not their primary focus currently as they see us as a club that's been in disarray for so long we just need this steady steering of the ship.

I’m not sure losing 3-0 at home to spurs, or 4-1 at home to Newcastle, or getting knocked out of a cup we should be looking to win by a team who has 2 points from 12 league games, is particularly steadying the ship.

Yes bringing in Moyes was a very short term quick fix solution. He's done well by and large but it doesn't scream ambition in any way shape or form. There's also no sense of alignment with the younger players being brought in for the future and Moyes pragmatic approach of bringing these players on slowly. It just doesn't feel like a natural fit does it the club strategy and the manager not really being the type to bring that strategy to their vision

Didn't TFG issue a post-Dyche statement along the lines of their hope was the current manager would do the job, see out his final 6 months and reset in the summer, but results meant that couldn't happen, and they were not willing to get involved in a saga for a manager already in a job, which ultimately meant only out-of-work managers would be considered. Mid table finishes with the least amount of disruption and not excessive or unnecessary spending where possible might be exactly the ticket they're after.

Come on guys, we finished last season strong under Moyes. Over the summer, we lost around 10 players and bought so many new players in, some have worked and some will take time to work. Moyes has had one real transfer window, we know what positions we need to get players in next window, it’s going to take time ! We aren’t going to get instant success !

So losing at home 4-1 to a team that hasn't won away this season is acceptable ? Nobody is expecting instant success, nobody, but today was abysmal. Coupled with Moyes' post match comments do you really think he'll bring success, instant or in the future ?

I see them flipping the club - because of the ground - in a few years time.

I think it's fair to give Moyes a couple of windows to plug the obvious gaps we all see before judging him.
Besides that, we have 18 points from 13 games compared to last season we had 17 from 20 games. There is noticeable improvement tbf
