Why would they? They’ve shown at Roma that they’ll spin the wheel if results aren’t what they expect.

They’ve immediately come in and addressed the balance sheet, put in a whole new board, exec, and football operations team, and given the manager 100 mill plus in their first window. They will expect a return on their investment and for the value of the club to appreciate through being in Europe and ultimately winning trophies. They’ve not done all of this to trudge around in the bottom half for another ten years.

Because this is Everton we are talking about. The expert in flattering to deceive, to laud mediocrity, the master in disappointment.

Until I see some signs of a much needed culture change then I will not be convinced.

We got knocked out of the cup by a poor side and the manager simply shrugged it off and didn’t care. A big club without any silverware in three decades. That to me isn’t a sign things are changing.

You may scoff at my cynical attitude but it’s only from what I have experienced since supporting the club.

The manager didn't read the room on that at all. He must have thought it's business as usual for him: PL games and get to 40 points ASAP and anything more is a bonus.

..and then he got a titty lip on after he realised the fans were furious about his decision to surrender a LC run.

Moyes can GTF if he thinks he can still coast here.

This what I mean by culture though. I would like to think they see through fakes and we have had a lot here haven’t we on and off the pitch.

I understand, it’s people’s jobs and living at risk , we don’t know what gets said behind the scenes. From a fan perspective we desperately need a change in mindset tho because it stinks here.

It’s evident there has been a big clique there , a kind of “im alright so who’s arsed about the “punters” as they call us there.

The big giveaway was how many stayed quiet or were sheepish back in January 2023.

Changing the culture to one that genuinely wants to do something significant here would work wonders. If that doesn’t happen it won’t matter who we sign or have as manager, it just keeps on delaying the inevitable disappointment.
