January Transfer Window 2026

Bologna striker Santiago Castro
Everton are keeping a close eye on Bologna hotshot Santiago Castro as they look to bolster their attacking options in the January transfer window, though they must move decisively to strike a deal, TEAMtalk understands.

The 21-year-old was on the Toffees’ shortlist over the summer before they decided to bring in Thierno Barry for around £27m, who is still adapting to life in the Premier League

I'm not sold on Parrot. Bit flavour of the month and already shown he can't do it in the premier league

Bit of an Irish bias going on I feel, looked at objectively, he is not the player to take us forward
Bit harsh judging him being a youth player at Tottenham. The truth is no-one knows for sure how he'd fare in the Premier League but someone will take the gamble

He was considered a top prospect tbf, went on a couple of loans to League 1 and the Championship and did very little in fairness. I do wonder whether the Dutch league might just be his level.

Not sure who is the right cf to bring in as we need a striker who could come in and be the number one. So we could rotate barry in the side, just worry if was parrott is he good enough. Because imo think end of the season we will sell barry so will most likely look for a younger profile to dvelop at cf for next season

Not going to happen with our policy of premier league experience first and foremost...we will probably overspend millions on a top 6 reject instead.

Well all four of our current full backs didn’t have any PL experience when we bought them so…..

This forum can’t make its mind up whether it wants us to target players who are proven to be PL ready or not.
