I’d imagine losing 2/3rds of away games to the Big Six is a pretty normal number for most bottom half PL teams.

Nah he has been in the game a long time and its a very poor record, there have been articles in the past about it trying too analyze why its so bad, its just his little cheerleader squadron on here that can't accept it.

I'd be replacing Moyes in the summer 100%.

One way or another he's just carried out a Koeman-lite summer window and pissed our budget top against a wall.

Hopefully the new owners will still be able to hand a transfer chest out to any incoming manager this summer to entice one worthwhile us getting in to replace Moyes.

Undoubtedly, but let’s be clear TFG agreed to his demands to get rid of the DOF role and put him in charge. Ultimately this summer’s disastrous window is on them.

Madness people are arguing with this. That was the last time we filled our squad with good, proven but late-20s players on big contracts. Said at the time it was a go big or go home strategy - if it didn't immediately work, we were screwed. And we were screwed. Loads of people want us to try the same thing now under TFG and it makes my brain leak out of my ears

Your overall point is correct but the context around Ancelotti is missing. Moshiri spent £663 million but Ancelotti only spent about 10% of that and a third of that was on a 22 year old. That’s why people are saying he wasn’t really funded I think. Basically Koeman/Walsh did most of the damage, along with Silva/Brands.

Because, throughout his career, he has bottled in games like this.

At the same time, I wouldn’t have seen Dyche do it with Burnley or at us. I don’t rate Dyche but it just shows what having attack minded players who can execute can do for you. They did that with 25% possession.

Forest at the moment, are perfect for Dyche, happy to defend deep, but with great pace on the break. Having said that, although im no fan of Moyes, id take him before Dyche every day.

Dyche is one lucky fella to have got the Forest gig having failed at EFC. They have some top players and can play on the break and arguably are at a similar stage to EFC. But like other posters I just can't imagine DM winning ever 3-0 at Anfield or for that matter even against an average United on their patch. Prove me wrong, David.

And Moshiri’s net spend has been greatly exaggerated by some as well. Whilst he did spend the first few years a big chunk was off set through sales of Stones and Lukaku - players we wanted to keep

I get you yeah. I feel like it goes a bit under the radar though that players like Allan, Doucoure, James (and I like them all as players in terms of quality!) were crazy late-20s players on big contracts to add to the wage bills while we still had players like Tosun, Walcott, Bolasie on the books - the only one of those 6 players we got a transfer fee for was James for a nominal few mil. All just absolute PSR black holes

Moshiri also had us at a excessive wage bill which is why we got done by the PSR rules.

I'm no Dyche fan and was desperate for him to be relieved of his duties - his football was even duller than Benitez and Allardyce. That said, I really think it's unfair to call his time at Everton a failure. He managed in extremely difficult circumstances, probably the most testing in the Club's history, and kept us in the top league. It was an acheivement in itself.....and I actually doubt if Moyes could have done it in the same circumstances, primarily due to his negativity compared to Dyches more pragmatic approach.
Forest as you say are perfect for him - defensively robust, pace to burn, content with low possession and with some quality finishers at the Club. I don't think he's particularly lucky to get the gig, I think he's the right type of manager to deal with the Greek Pavarotti.

Dyche was sacked. The team was facing a relegation battle and it looked like that he had no answers. That is failure.

Against one of his previous clubs and a chance to go above them and the local rivals.
Is he tactically astute enough to do something just as Dyche was yesterday?
