Not even runs and not enough rest for the bowlersTop order piling the pressure on constantly.
Sigh. Its mental pressure. Its test cricket, its supposed to be the most pressure a cricketer should feel, and the Aussie batsmen have been let off. England needed to bowl like they did on day 1, and they dropped their heads after 10 overs. Just a shambles all round. Hopes a dangerous thing and all that. Not even runs and not enough rest for the bowlers
Aussies knew this was well below par. The 4th innings chat was a bit silly on day 2. Best time to bat is late today and into tomorrow but our batsmen didn't show the patience and fight required
At 100 for 1 they would have expected to chase 300 plus. I think the pressure was a lot less on the chase than it could and should have been. It's just not a normal 4th innings chase when it's day 2 and the wicket is at its best.Sigh. Its mental pressure. Its test cricket, its supposed to be the most pressure a cricketer should feel. But that doesnt mean it should be made as easy for them as it has. Don't get me wrong this in on the batsmen but they've given up in the field an hour ago.At 100 for 1 they would have expected to chase 300 plus. Heads went down very early in the field. Not going to be easy to come back from thisBut that doesnt mean it should be made as easy for them as it has. Don't get me wrong this in on the batsmen but they've given up in the field an hour ago.
