New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Didn't have a ticket but went down there anyway today with it being such a lovely day.

Very laid back atmosphere before KO and the stadium was shown off at it's best...

Why do we never see shots like this from the tv coverage? Too busy getting the name H*** D******** I suppose.

...it was only spoiled by that toe curling remembrance day film. Jesus wept. Who organises that tripe?

Oh so you managed to get in through those fort nox barriers you insist means this stadium isn't for normal evertonians then did you? Glad you could park your bike up aswell you bad crab.

If only you would have gone into the stadium, you would have seen there were no lines left behind from the 'woolybacks' you beaut.

Really?
Reeked?
One of us needs to get our nose seen too. I didn't detect even a faint odour and I'm absolutely certain that it didn't "reek"
FFS @davek was there and even he has made no mention of any smell.
In fairness he did go out of his way to take photos to prove he was there even though he hasn’t been loyal enough to get in. That does reek of desperation.

Hell of a place.

Does club view have escalators to the concourse? Asking for someone who needs them and didn't expect their upper tier seats to not have them.
No escalators but there is lift access if needed. You just ask at the gate and they’ll take you to the lift. I haven’t had to do this myself but one of the guys I go to the game with has to.

That's nothing to do with the glorification of war.
On November 7th, 1920, in strictest secrecy, four unidentified British bodies were exhumed from temporary battlefield cemeteries at Ypres, Arras, the Asine and the Somme.

None of the soldiers who did the digging were told why.

The bodies were taken by field ambulance to GHQ at St-Pol-Sur-Ter Noise. Once there, the bodies were draped with the union flag.

Sentries were posted and Brigadier-General Wyatt and a Colonel Gell selected one body at random. The other three were reburied.

A French Honour Guard was selected and stood by the coffin overnight of the chosen soldier overnight.

On the morning of the 8th November, a specially designed coffin made of oak from the grounds of Hampton Court arrived and the Unknown Warrior was placed inside.

On top was placed a crusaders sword and a shield on which was inscribed:

"A British Warrior who fell in the GREAT WAR 1914-1918 for King and Country".

On the 9th of November, the Unknown Warrior was taken by horse-drawn carriage through Guards of Honour and the sound of tolling bells and bugle calls to the quayside.

There, he was saluted by Marechal Foche and loaded onto HMS Vernon bound for Dover. The coffin stood on the deck covered in wreaths, surrounded by the French Honour Guard.

Upon arrival at Dover, the Unknown Warrior was met with a nineteen gun salute - something that was normally only reserved for Field Marshals.

A special train had been arranged and he was then conveyed to Victoria Station, London.

He remained there overnight, and, on the morning of the 11th of November, he was finally taken to Westminster Abbey.

The idea of the unknown warrior was thought of by a Padre called David Railton who had served on the front line during the Great War the union flag he had used as an altar cloth whilst at the front, was the one that had been draped over the coffin.

It was his intention that all of the relatives of the 517,773 combatants whose bodies had not been identified could believe that the Unknown Warrior could very well be their lost husband, father, brother or son...

bad crab 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

he’s got no life except to bash people

I agree.

@davek this is pretty poor from you. A lot of fans turned up to put their flowers and pay respects to family members at their remembrance stones.

Some who lost their lives or were impacted from what's happened over the years. I know a few who did. Maybe time to take it easy for a bit.
and yet still posters will pander to him as a “friendly troll”

Some expensive looking bikes there, and rain covers too ... planning ahead, like it!

Yes? Just reporting my experience. In the ground was fine but walking from sandhills it was very noticeable. All previous matches have been fine by the way, I'm not some mad wind up merchant like others on here.
