Just call me BBC News 😎 but seriously though I just can't fathom sacking Moyes right now. And there's no one on the current manager merry-go-round that is a better option for us.
That's the rub isn't it if we sack him now we'd get some journeyman to replace him anyway. Rather wait to the summer and bring in someone decent

I don't really mean in a stature sense, I mean timing-wise. Both of them have just done the thing of taking lower-midtable prem teams to the next level - they won't be looking at exactly the same brief for their next job.

If I'm wrong I'll tapdance naked on my roof though don't get me wrong.

They will want a fat pay rise that’s for sure, but they won’t be getting it from Spurs or Manchester City, or any other ‘top 6’ club.

You are aware that Aston Villa (that club that are so immeasurably more attractive than Everton) have Unai Emery as their manager, and that he became their manager when they were in the bottom half of the league, and in a similar or even worse position to where Moyes has us right now?

I have no idea why our fan base always act like we are the ugliest bloke on the dancefloor, when we literally pulled Miss World just a few years ago.

No but he is looking a bit dated. The whole swapping barry for beto and vice versa looks awful.
He's lost a bit of me with his management of Alcaraz. I think its been poor.

If anything, the awfulness of Beto recently has only forced perceived awfulness in Barry as he likely should have gotten more time; like Dibling has been awarded, thanks to Ndiaye's form.

Im not sure its perceived mate tbh. He's not had a shot on target this season. Sometimes we can analyse to the cows come home. But thats just shocking stats.
He's got a few options there Moyes without both. But so far it seems swap one for the other and hope for the best.

Ive never bought into the narrative that some claim, that Moyes wasn't involved in the transfer process to a certain degree, he's too much of a control freak to come back here and relinquish that influence over the squad. It would be very unlike Moyes especially after the power struggles he had at West Ham
I don't think it's the fact he didnt have any influence over the signings, I think it came down to the pool of players that were put to him. Alot of the targets he would have been looking at wanted European football, so his options became smaller and smaller.

If he was up all nights during the transfer window watching videos of the players, that in itself shows he was pulling at strings to find them.

He probably had a list going into the summer that had to be thrown out the window once he realised we weren't such an appeal without europe.

I expect the club were pushing at the youth, as in investments for future profit.

Long term I think he'll be ok but failures elsewhere are not helping his (what I view as most important) in-game development. I don't want to compare him to a dog but it's like training a puppy to fetch, roll over etc without food rewards.

No just make sure our recruitment team have a new forward line inked in for Jan 1st especially with pace. Doesn't matter what manager we had with this powder puff forward line we have it would be the same outcomes. Moyes has done nothing to deserve the boot imo.
I suspect he's just as peed off as everyone else that the strikers are not scoring , But it's his job to find a solution..
yet we all know that all he will do is swap Beto For Barry (or vice versa ) after an hour and that's it !

And the not playing Dibling thing is doing my head in

Spurs have said that they will probably be sacking Frank in the summer, and will probably be replacing him with Glasner? And Manchester City have said that they are probably going to part ways with Pep Guardiola, to then probably replace him with Iraola?

I’d say this is probably improbable, tbh.

Everton haven’t said they’re getting rid of David Moyes either.

Both of those managers are destined for much, much bigger things than Everton sadly so I wouldn’t waste your time thinking about it. We need to find the next Glasner or Iraola.

Sometimes you've got to deliver as well. Grealish put one on a plate for him on monday. He didnt just miss it. He nearly cleared the stand from 4 yards.
Not for me this fella. Not a fan of his all round movement or game. not much choice but to give him a few more chances though.

While he's not instantly "for me" like a Lautaro Martinez would be, I do think there's something to work with. The problem is most men don't like baking, they just want the pie and we'll deal with any diabetes later.
