2025/26 Harrison Armstrong

I watched the goals Preston's keeper looked very good too....
He's excellent. We had him on loan a few years back for about 60 games and he was immense. Won our player of the season then I think.

Been insanely good since we brought him back on a permanent. Almost, dare I say it, as good as Jordan Pickford was when we had him for a short stint! (maybe I'm overselling it, but Iversen has definitely won us points on his own this season).

Big upgrade on our previous keeper Freddie Woodman.

Starting to take this personal now, I thought i would finally get a break with us playing saturday..
Just enjoy it mate. I’ve watched quite a few non Preston Championship games this season , it’s a decent league, the recent Wrexham 3-2 Coventry game was a cracker. What’s great is when a team scores you know it’s a goal almost immediately, non of this VAR stuff holding up the game or changing the emotions of crowd and players.

I find Championship (games are less tactical & less boring than some Prem games..

You know it's a goal

Brilliant mate 💙

@blueloon ultimately do you see Harrison as a sitting midfielder or box to box player?
At this moment mate I think he could do both. He’s shown he can play deep in a three at Derby or further forward in a three at Preston , and has the engine to go box to box for 90 mins.

Going on recent Preston performances and how we play, I could see him taking over Gueye’s role in a midfield two. I base that on his ability to tackle, intercept , play short sharp passes , get around the pitch etc. Im also biased in my view of defensive mids , I think N’Golo Kante is one of the best ever PL players and Caicedo is outstanding for Chelsea , I love good defensive mids. He is of course way way off those levels yet , at 18 he may develop differently and others may also see him differently, including our coaches.
