For such a big fee ( in Scottish terms ) he needed to hit the ground running ( Thelwell proper put all his eggs in the 1 basket with him ) and it's backfired so far.

Very difficult to turn things around when 99.9% of the fanbase think your absolutely garbage.

The only way is up, Thelwell got him at a knockdown rate and is gambling on him coming good.

Jake Bidwell was playing for Coventry Friday night, I think they had injuries. Ellis Simms came on second half , didn’t do much and looks out of place in a very mobile Coventry attack. Much as I’d love to see it , it’s hard to see him playing for them in the PL if they get promoted. With Thierry Small, Lewis Dobbin, Lewis Gibson playing alongside Armstrong at Preston, Tom Cannon and Tom Davies at Sheffield Utd, Ishe Samuels- Smith at Swansea, Conor Coady and Nathan Broadhead at Wrexham we’ve got a team of outfield ex players in the Championship , and I’m sure I’ve missed someone.

Dobbin has scored some nice goals but really we haven’t regretted any of them moving on .

Said it in the summer, Brighton is almost like a Chelsea proxy, one is supporting the other.

They also have Strasborg and look what's going on between the two.

You would think a decent Journo with start digging or at least ask curious questions.

Between Davies, Ledson, Price and Baningime that's a pretty solid championship central midfield, albeit all of them were expected to have played at a higher level.

….yep, he’s still doing what he does best up there. Enjoyed watching him recently when they beat Celtic, just breaking stuff up.

Ledson left Preston in the summer for League 1 Huddersfield , Price was the one I couldn’t remember!!! and perhaps the “ one most likely “ to kick on further and start “ we should never have sold him “ posts.
