New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

I didn't realise ow much this match here today would rile me.

I think that's because we dont have ourselves established at it and events like this will make that task of becoming established that much harder.

Spoke to a member of staff in the corporate bit today (worked with LOR as a collaborative senior project manager) .

One of the driving factors to get the planning permission was to allow red to be shown throughout the stadium, which was a none negotiable term at goodison for any none football related events.

That was bad too. At half time, the queue didn't move for 10 minutes before I gave up. Looked like they didn't pour any pints ahead of time so it ground to a halt. Went back down 10 minutes into the second half and people were still queueing. The steward said something had failed and they were working to fix it.

You do realise you can walk to another kiosk?

Atrended the Ashes match today - great atmosphere. Had an excellent view however the leg room was by far the worst I've ever experienced at a football stadium - cannot stress how bad it was. Not even close to fitting in. Ended up standing the whole match. Saw others do the same. Even my 5 1/2 ft wife struggled. I've sat in 5 other areas across HDS which have all been ok. Avoid Block 021 row 18 (directly in front of the wheelchair area) if you can.

The problem I had in the Upper South is not being in the queue, its those who have been served moving out of the way for the rest of us.

I say had as I now go to the corner kiosks and toilets, less people standing in the way.

I'm not surprised when two of the 'Founding Partners' are Red Bull and Budweiser.

It's nauseating this corporate hijacking of the club

The stadium is great: it looks great and it's about as good as we could have expected, but my God do we pay a heavy price for that in terms of being forced to play second fiddle to a load of corporate entities who see Everton fans as an easily pushed around stage army to anchor the 'facility' and exploit as they cast the net for other 'events' and 'customers' also to exploit.

They make me 'kin sick. They're abhorrent. The whole notion of these slugs being central to the early discussions about how our stadium was laid out in order to maximise fan exploitation is creepy.

One of the driving factors for planning permission for the stadium build was based on Everton allowing red to be shown throughout the stadium? Have i just got that right and that is what you meant?

It’s either a really bad attempt at a windup or just absolute rubbish. Given who posted it he’ll probably blame it on Giulia Bould next
