New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

How is the Branding different from Goodison over the years, i know they had the canopy timeline thing up in recent years but before that it was just the odd crest here and there.

Everton football club is in Liverpool, it always surprises me there is an insecurity about that, in a ceding of the City type of way.

I posted a video yesterday from a Australian mainstream channel covering the rugby that walked around the stadium and there was nothing but Everton branding the whole way through, they got to the dressing room and there were Everton shirts with the players names front and center. I really think you are misreading this.
It's been associated with Everton since 1892 mate. They didn't need 'branding' it was organic.

And still is, Goodison is still there mate.

If you asked most football people were Everton play - do you think they would say Goodison or BMD.

Really you cant put a price on todays publicity, id be looking forward to coming to work on Monday if i was in our commercial and marketing Dept.

Imagine the Kopites being told they cant have their own club name on seats for a few seasons so the owners and their loan partners can get the stadium up and running as a general entertainment facility.

FFS they'd (rightly this time) riot.
If that's the official reason given, I think they're being very naive.

In fact, it makes no sense. Three little letters will frighten off rugby events and pop concerts? Really?

There is no justification - commercial or otherwise - for the paucity of club branding around the ground. They've made little effort to make it our home. It's a lovely facility - let down by a lack of finishing touches (no screeding, really?) and a reluctance to brand it as something organic rather than purely commercial.

I'm pretty sure this was the trade off in getting stadium sponsors. After 35 years of Kenwright, nobody wants to be associated with relegation-haunted, points-deducted, no-full-backs Everton.

That stadium needs Evertonisation.

The team have done ok there so far, so the calls for that are muted right now. But we'll hit a bump in the road and the whole issue of making our stadium OUR STADIUM will be a very big issue.

The ownership and sponsors have lived a charmed life so far: buoyed by home results and the pacification of a fan base still in wonderment at the stadium.

That wont last, and neither will the quietism that's set in for now around who that stadium rightfully belongs to.

What time does the fan plaza open before the games. Have a stone there and just want to know how much time we have before games.

Also, can non-ticket holders get on the plaza before games?

Thanks for any help.

Yeah I think that could happen. However I do believe that, especially during the summer for the next 2/3 seasons, changes and upgrades will continue. I really don’t think that we are done by a long shot.

I attended today's Ashes test and sat in the Lower South, away from my usual season ticket seat in the Upper South. One thing I was particularly interested in was the views and first impressions of fans in attendance who did not support us and were coming in from further afield.

From what I could gather, everyone seemed to be impressed with the stadium itself (many were taking pictures of the ground) but identified similar issues to what our supporters have pointed out on plenty of occasions. Firstly, there was the issue of long queues for food at half-time, with many having to wait for around fifteen minutes to get served. Other supporters also noted issues with the toilet capacity and in particular the lack of cubicles in the men's toilets. Some also pointed out concerns with transport and access to the ground.

I am delighted that we seem to have left a positive impression on the fans in attendance today and hopefully that will eventually result in more non-football events being hosted at the ground in the future and therefore increased revenue for the club.

As a season ticket holder in the Lower South sitting on the second to back row in the North Upper was a bit of shock. But as a massive Evertonian as we all our and a lifelong rugby league fan, it was a very special occasion for me today to see rugby league played at Everton. Nice to see a packed house and the revenue and exposure generated can only be a good thing. The amount of pints I saw being consumed was a sight to behold. People still bringing alcohol to their seats with 20 mins left so bars must have stayed open for a while. Doesn't seem to be many of us Scouse rugby league fans.
