2025/26 David Moyes

He doesn't seem to be able to change things tactically. We were getting beat 2 - 0 and he just brings a striker on to replace the one who's already on. I'm no tactical genius but I think I would maybe have gone 2 up top. Changed the midfield and tried to get the ball forward earlier. But it's just like for like.
The problems haven't necessarily been personel. It's been the way we are playing. Meaningless possession where we slow it down and pass to Grealish even if there are 3 defenders around him.

It's predictable, it's far too slow and it's far too easy to stop.

And obviously it's not helped by the fact our two centre forwards are playing really poorly.

I agree. What an expensive team he’s got out there today.

Can’t spend a whole year assassinating a bloke saying no excuses every time he had players missing and then immediately start making those very same excuses for the next bloke.

Branthwaite is a big miss. He was under Dyche as can be seen by the start of last season until he came back, and he is under Moyes as well. Your convenient refusal to acknowledge this last season but acknowledge it now is just hypocrisy.

I acknowledged it last season, luckily he was only missing for 3 games and was available along with everyone else in the squad for the 4 months that followed.

Sure you did, just like you did the Calvert Lewin, Garner, McNeil injuries across the different seasons.

You definitely didn’t go around posting ‘no excuses Sean’ before every game

If this was Dyche away at a newly promoted team you’d be demanding a win otherwise it’s a sackable offence the embarrassment would be so great. As it’s Moyes though you’re quiet as a mouse.

If Moyes leads us to 1 point off the relegation zone at the half way point of the season then he should also be sacked.

The only one seemingly making excuses for certain managers in order to save some face, is yourself.

You’re such a hypocrite. Dug yourself so deep into a hole blasting Dyche every week (you were blasting him long before the final season) that now you have to row back on every stance you made to back Moyes.

If we lose on Monday it’s 11 points from 10 games which is in the exact same ball park as the ppg Dyche was getting over his 2 seasons. Except the difference being there’s 100 million plus poured into this team.

If you didn’t stand for what Dyche was producing then you should be demanding better now and stop being such a massive hypocrite.

That's part of my point mate. We need to get the ball forward quicker but Moyesie is getting paid a lot of money to be able to adapt tactically

What in god’s name are you dribbling on about now? I’ve literally just said Moyes should be sacked if his results reflect Dyche’s, please reattach your head and actually use the grey matter that I assume inhabits it.

Prior to spurs we had conceded 9 in 8. So pretty much on course. Despite not having JB at all, and not having a left back for several games.
But we shipped 3 against Spur and were incredibly luck it wasn't another 3 v Palace. At the moment the defence is out biggest liability.

We could make the same suggestion about other teams being incredibly lucky not to concede more to us. Keepers make saves and players miss. Happens for both teams every game.

At the end of the day, you are hypothesising about goals that didn’t even happen as ultimately, it was 3 points vs palace and only 1 conceded.

If we start conceding 3/4 a game every game, then yes, panic, but currently, we have played 9 games without our best player and several without a left back and have been pretty much par for the course.
