Come on mate, we’re still a newly promoted team and you’re established in the PL. There shouldn’t really be a single game this early in the season we’re favourites for.

The bookies make you slight favourites for what it’s worth.
Exactly. I'm delighted you're back where you belong. You are showing plenty of the rest of the league up - including our geniuses.

As others have touched on, something needs changing.

Our front line attack has a void in the middle. I think it's also having a negative impact on the supply.

Overall I think the team needs a shake up doesn't feel like all players trust in each other.

But we bloody well should be.

If Sunderland are favourites, that's a tremendous testimonial to the job their manager has done and also an indictment of ours.

They have come from a way lower base than us. Moyes can't spin his way out of this one. We should be going there to get three points. No guarantees, of course, and we are playing a good side representing a great club. A breath of fresh air, this season, are Sunderland. But I won't hear any excuses from the usual apologists about this game. A real chance to get out of the funk Moyes has put us in. I think we'll win.
Don’t disagree with anything.

We should be favourites. We should be looking to win these types of games. Our recent performances don’t give me a lot of hope.

i thought it was saturday

hate waiting to play!!

plus if results don’t go our way

we can drop further which will make
people’s heads fall off on here

anyway 0-2 us theyl try and press
we will pick them off. and moyes is making changes

Genuine question. Are the cracks appearing regarding Moyes?, or is it just frustration at the minute on your part.
It’s genuinely not as bad as people are making it out to be

People are annoyed we fielded a weak team in the league cup and got battered by wolves

We lost to Liverpool and Man City away recently which are always tough games

We had our first defeat at home to the champions of the europa league

West Ham was probably the most dissapointing result tbh but we still got a point against them and for whatever reason they treated the game like an fa cup final

A lot of the current frustration is because we haven’t got a decent striker to put away the chances that are being created.

Compared to previous seasons under dyche this is a really good start for us

Our next game against Sunderland feels like a valuable opportunity to re-gain some positivity, but it will not be an easy fixture against a Sunderland team who look set to survive this season having had a very impressive start.

I would make some changes to the starting XI and our set-up.

Pickford

Garner - O'Brien - Tarkowski - Mykolenko

Gana Gueye - Dewsbury-Hall

Dibling - Alcaraz - Grealish

Ndiaye
That is close to how I would set up too. I do think we may lose out having Garner at right back, but we have to make a change up top.

Pickford

Garner - O’Brien - Tarks - Myko

Gana - Rohl

N’Daiye - KDH - Grealish

Alcaraz

it’s just the effing goals is (mostly)

goals win games - if we’ve took all our chances not “many” would be moaning

I've no idea what injuries we have going into this game. COYB, and all that type of stuff.

I mean that’s fair summary. But I’m not wrong - you should stick some money on it like, as the bookies do make you slight favourites - and there rarely wrong,

I thought Barry looked lively when he was on the pitch against Spurs. We’re also absolutely awful at breaking teams down who do a low block against us, which I’m guessing Moyes might try. Look at Burnley away as a perfect example of that.

Also the broader point is let’s not underestimate Sunderland ability to mess it up whenever our fans start getting hopeful.
I certainly wouldn't call us favourites. I remember 13/14 season when we were on great run hadn't lost at home during calender year and you came to us on boxing day and beat us 1-0. Even when we beat you same season we relied on jammy goal to beat you. I think Sunderland have always been a tough side to go to. Our players mostly have zero character, there's countless players in our team who disappear in normal games, never mind a night game at in the North East. Moyes can only win at grounds where there's very little pressure on him and a poor atmosphere. His record at top 4 and City is appalling.
