….my daughter was in the same infant/junior school class as his Dad, shows how old I am but I’m chuffed to see him involved. James McEveley is a big unit (his parents are also both tall) so I expect young McEveley to have the physicality to cope with playing out of his age group.

I understand he’s left sided.

Francis Boggan (14?) on the bench for the u18s today? That’s an exciting one if true.

Possibly short on CBs with Gokah being on international duty?. I’ve only ever seen photos of him, the one with England u15s he looks a decent size for 14.

This lad on Twitter works in academy football. Reckons Everton are after the England U17 striker from that game against Scotland yesterday, Brian Madjo.

2 starts & 2 subs up top for Metz in ligue 1 this season...at 16.

…been sent a pic which I won’t post for obvious reasons, but he’s on the Goodison pitch last season standing next to Jagielka and Gareth Barry and he’s absolutely towering over the the two of them. So, he’s very tall at just 15, similar frame to Branthwaite.

I was reading about Brian Madjo before the game as apparently he’s played three senior internationals for Luxembourg but is now somehow still eligible to play for England. No explanation as to how or even how true that is. Sounds like the kind of player we’d buy.

All 3 were friendlies maybe that's why

Some nice finishes from us in that u18s Derby last night. Big chances missed by Liverpool and at times we got lucky that 1st half. While our keeper made at least 3 very decent saves
