I’m not going to reason with bigoted morons. Why should I? They need to be called out for the racist simpletons they are.
Are they all bigoted morons? Or just some of them? Because if they're all that and are basically irredeemable in your eyes then what do you suggest? Leave things as they are and let more and more people go towards their view? Personally I'd sooner reason with the more logical ones and even tell the ones on the fence that they aren't irredeemablely bad. The majority of reform voters are silent ones who will never tell you who they voted for. If we go around saying that, all these people are irredeemable then they'll just keep quietly voting the same way to get "revenge". Personally I'd have real discourse and win the silent majority around.

Our politicians need to start toning down the rhetoric and lead by example. Once the likes of Fararge is the only one name-calling it will be easier to show him up for what he is. The media have an obligation to provide factual news rather then hysterical nonsense like labelling "judges enemies of the people". Even if someone is gorssly misinformed and basically an idiot, you aren't going to win him/her over by telling them. A change it tone when it comes to these conversations will go a long way.
I don't dispute that we do need politicians to revert to simply telling the truth, it's just hard to see how that works in an age where most of us get news in very bite-sized chunks, and soundbites tend to not only land more but transmit more widely when they're negative and play on our base fears. I mean the mainstream media aren't perfect in any way, but they're already derided by a portion of society for not delivering the "truth" they find on social media. It does feel a bit like the tail is wagging the dog in terms of the misinformed guiding policy.

Yes. You don’t have to be a racist to be stupid but you sure have to be stupid to be racist.

In all seriousness though, what has any of this flag shagging achieved, where was this level of anger during the Tories dreadfulness? What’s logical about supporting Reform?

You can try and reason with them, good on you for giving it a go, but they’re all beyond redemption and when Reform inevitably get in and all their dreams come crashing down I will laugh at them and tell them I told them so.

Looking at the reform projections for the next election, it’s gonna be a landslide if what I am seeing is even remotely accurate
They were talking themselves up for taking Wales recently, and it didn't happen, a tory under a reform badge is still a tory, so they'll get fed this lesson again in Scotland.

My only hope is that they completely implode on themselves before the next election.
The Government needs to get a grip on the immigration issue. It polls as the most important concern for around 60-70% of those polled.

The window for getting in-front of it will close at some point at which point a Reform government will be an inevitability.

Even that may not be enough to avoid Reform forming a government with increasing cost of living, falling living standards and poor public services.

It's like they shot themselves in one foot by voting for brexit but couldn't decide whether the pain they were suffering was from that injury, so they're going to shoot themselves in the other foot just to be sure.

I give up on the UK if Farage gets in. It's completely broken.
Their manifesto is all over the place. Absolutely reeks of desperate "vote for us" pledges that they'll turn back on from day one.

In fact, I think they've already admitted most of their economic & tax policies are unworkable.
Sprinkle in a handful of anti-woke and climate denial nonsense to boot.

but they know it works because it has before , promise the world deliver nothing and a decade later claim you’re the only ones that can fix the situation you created and promised wouldn’t happen .

It’s insane , the whole thing and I genuinely mean insane

The Democrats in America tried this with “when they go low, we go high”. Didn’t work out so well there. Farage has been shown for what he is multiple times and he’s now the favourite to win the next election.

I would love it if they all toned down the rhetoric and discussed things sensibly. But it’s just not going to happen in this current climate.

It's looking grim in most of the polls.
Think the tories will change leader, basically rob Farage s message and dress it up as a theres come election time.
Next years locals will weaken Labour and the tories again so its fertile ground for Reform to grow again.
Momentum will be on there side.
Wish I could see a way out of it, but Labour are not going to stop it the way they are going at the moment, can see civil war breaking out in thd party next year as results go against them.
The public just are not having Starmer and co at this present time.
They need a long hard look at themselves and get a plan in place to go forwards.

Agree with highlight ed especially. They have done very little to help their image, broken campaign promises and that’s going to get worse with the budget mate.

It feels like that is enough to me though, the resentment for labour is very real.
