New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

I personally don’t think the stadium carries sound well because of how large it is

The only way the sound carries is if everyone is in unison which is why you will hear most of the noise being made at the start of the game or during key moments in the game like scoring a goal or when a ref makes a bad decision etc…

You have isolated incidents of fans trying to sing the Jordan Pickford song which fizzles out pretty quickly after 1 verse because the sound just doesn’t carry

I think you will probably only hear a constant noise for maybe one game like Liverpool

However I don’t necessarily think that it makes the atmosphere worse than goodison. Even at goodison the crowd was still quiet and the away fans would chant nearly every game “is this a library” and “we forgot that you were here” so don’t make out that goodison was a noise fortress

Goodison was loud for the big games and the big moments

Hill Dicky will be loud for the big games and the big moments like brighton and palace for example

100% agree.

It's far bigger than Anfield in terms of its footprint, but the capacity is disappointingly low.

disagree

from the 24th row of the south stand i still feel on top of the pitch

if someone is 6ft 4 in front of me i can still see the whole pitch

we could have more seats but the sight lines would be worse, we would be further away from the pitch and the stands wouldnt feel/be as intimidating or steep

The corporate windows look awful in a football ground, the first time I'd noticed it from the west side looking over.

They legally should have the blinds down. One thing I noticed during my time in there they don't have automated mechanical blinds that shut down automatically in the boxes which other modern stadia do. They do have it in the restaurant that has a view onto the pitch though.

they did close them for previous games but not spurs, wonder if the prawnies have complained?

I’ve complained about it in survey because i could see all the screens and the glare from them and the content was really distracting

there seems to be a big push on inclusivity in the new ground, which is great, so then why have something that can be really distracting, especially for anyone neurodiverse

even if they do keep the blinds open if people want to stay inside (which is baffling but rich people do rich people things), the screens shouldnt be on

I don't think it's down to sound carrying or anything like that. We are just a very quiet set of supporters. For what ever reason most of our fans like to sit in silence.

No more than you.
