2025/26 Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall

Its clearly on Moyes.

He's overpaid for another teams unwanted player.

Then he's put him out of position from day 1 and every single game he's been poor or anonymous.

Another player signed for less than half his fee has upstaged him yet cant get in the team.

We dont use a 6 so KDH doesnt have the defensive cover he needs either.

This reminds me of the Kroldrup signing but he at least had the sense to drop him after a defeat against Villa and sell quickly.

I'd be dropping him for Alcaraz and putting the feelers out to sell KDH in January.
You are acting like we are leaving Messi sat on the bench, Alcaraz is an average South American who ended up back there not so long ago because no club in Europe rated him. Why is KDH well up there in various stat charts if he has been 'poor or anonymous' Zat, are you suggesting the people who do these things are lying?
We all agree he is not a 10 but its on Moyes not the player, also say you get your wish and he was moved on, there is no guarantee we start playing Alcaraz all of a sudden. It really is an ill thought out diatribe that you and big oil are pushing here.

He’s not been anywhere near as bad as some are making out, but on the other hand he is clearly not a 10, and hasn’t played in a 10 for much of his career, so I don’t understand what we are trying to do with him.

I thought we were getting a solid, ball savvy deep lying midfielder to help us rotate garner/gana out the side, and help us keep hold of the ball instead of just goner out away.

I think we would see the best of KDH if he was playing deeper, and both he and the team would prosper.

I have no clue what Moyes thought or thinks he’s got with KDH, but both the player and the team are suffering currently.

I would suggest that if you consider Alcaraz to be "average" then this means you see his performances at 10 to be "average" ?

Again, you're saying "Moyes picks the player" ? I'm not sure what your point is?

You breathe oxygen. I'm not sure if this is a revelation to you? Haha hehe :p

I dont care if Grealish, Dibling or Alcaraz (Ndiaye looks best wide) are tried at 10 for a run of games.

Are you grumpy as I called this signing right? You shouldnt be as I assumed he was taking over from Gana (and a 6 signed) - not in my wildest nightmare was he going to be used as a 10.

Again, if you cant see how terrible he is there then thats on you and Sir Davie of Moyes - if this is why Moyes signed him then hes clearly flopped and needs punting.

Surely you can see he's not suited to the way we 'should' play and would be suited under a different setup, position or style?

I assumed a 6 was signing and we'd use 2 CMs.

Spot on.

Its classic Moyes square pegs round holes stuff.

Its clear that hes not been very good for us so far but early days to sell. I would certainly drop for Alcaraz for a prolonged spell

I have always said KDH should be in the CM position and I think the team will look very different when the AFCON takes place and will be much more like what you want it to be.

He's a tidy, hard working player, who lacks pace and wants too many touches before trying to make an incisive pass, with Grealish also wanting an age on the ball before making his pass the result is we are far too slow in the final third. Dewsbury Hall is not and never will be a good no.10, I would like to see him be a chance in centre midfield.

I know many saying hes not a 10, but a central midfielder at 8, i dont think he works there in our current blend.

To be honest i always had him pegged as an indie left - crazy how over stocked we are there.

He's an 8 in a 3 man midfield with one sitting midfielder

currently he's playing 10 with the midfield being a separate 2
