New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Surely we can make better use of the new stadium to give the lads a bit more encouragement?

Perhaps something along these lines?

Mad how many times I keep hearing about how grim the walk is going to be.

It’s 30 minutes to town, 15 to Sandhills.

The wall to town is significantly better than the walk up county road, or to Kirkdale station.

i used to walk from town to goodison, it was absolutely great. i really miss that ritual with the match

i’ll regularly walk to an appointment or an event that would take the same amount of time queing for a bus or being sat in traffic and people look at you like you’re mad

most would feel an awful lot better after a loss if they walked the majority of the journey than being sat in the car in gridlock seething

Obviously never took any notice at the time when other top sides moved ground.
However i'd love to know their criteria for doing it.
Did they roughly transpose the crowd /season ticket holders to a similar place at the new ground or did they dilute the core fan base structure with a free for all?
Goodison had all 4 sides which you knew what to expect.
The street end has sucked the ball in to the net for 100 years.
As a poster above alluded to and as i said before the move....why were efforts not made to keep fans where they were?
Yes, it's a new ground and yes give it time I'll be told.
Just can't help feeling we may have hit the ground running with a like for like seat exchange as far as was humanly possible.

They did a survey and apparently the results showed the fans preferred a tenure based system

For me I'd have combined the two, I'd have mapped the ST holders from Goodison to the closest equivalent seat at the new ground, you could accept or reject, if you reject then they could have given a window based on tenure to choose your preferred seat

Id have mapped

West to main stand/TB
Family to family
South to gwladys
North to park end
East to bullens

Those in the main stand/bullens could have been mapped to an inferior seat as the central seats are corporate but they could have an option based on tenure to choose an alternative or club view etc

But based on the survey the above type option wasn't popular as people wanted to go based on tenure

I appreciate it’s not perfect and that certain people have issues but honestly from some comments , not necessarily here , you’d think goodison was located 100 yards from Euston , with a host of multi stories built next to the M62

There always seems to be that 'wedge' of seating in the corner between east and south stands - just over the corner flag going upwards - that's a baldy section of seats.

It's right smack in the eyeline of the tv cameras and it looks poor from the club that they're consistently empty.

That wedge there.

That's where the extra TV camera platforms are. You can't sell season tickets there as those seats may not be usable - as per yesterday. If they aren't being used when possible that's another story.

No an actual RL website, mind you who knows where they got their source from...

My experience at Sandhills has been really positive so far. For the volume of people using it, I think they're doing a really good job of managing it. Used it again yesterday and, at least for southern-bound travellers like myself, I think it's remarkable how quick you're on a train.

Having said that, what you're describing sounds woeful 😂

It was mate, but to be fair like you, up to then it has been superbly organised by the staff and trains running fine and on time.

I think with the South Stand lower being standing only, it was a chance for people who prefer to sit to get out of there and try somewhere else.

I think the club should do some sort of review in the summer and see if people want to do a seat transfer. I think it's fair.

Does anyone know if the stadium is in L3 or L5?

I thought it was L5. The Bramley Moore has an L5 postcode, but The Titanic hotel has an L3 postcode...

Google Maps has two listings for 'Everton Football Club' at Bramley Moore Dock:
It doesn't especially matter, of course, I'm just curious...
My limited knowledge I think the dockside is L3. Right down towards Brunswick Dock. Up to L20.

I haven’t been able to acquire a ticket yet so maybe shout me down, but it sounds too quiet on telly, is it a true reflection?

Maybe losing 0-3 at home on a wet Sunday isn’t the e best place to start a song, but when else is it?
I’ve been to four games at HD. Sometimes it’s quiet, sometimes it’s loud. Same as goodison to be honest.

I dont understand. They're seats where l've seen fans in before. I've seen that section full. They're just not filled all the time. 🤷‍♂️
