New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Ferry access should have been sorted as it was for the Kings Dock - plus in the planning permission originally all the problems should have been sorted - thanks Bill .....

TBF The Liverpool City Council would move heaven & earth if it was the other lot in this predicament .....as they did for their Anfield ground improvements -

Shuttle buses to the ground from Lime Street is the best idea ATM ....

I get your point though ....

For the shuttle buses to work there needs to be lots of them and dedicated lanes (that are actually only for the buses). After the match, there should be a whole line of buses waiting and a clear road/run. Neither of these were in place yesterday. Instead huge queues and gridlock traffic. Bus lane just rammed with cars.
Definitely scope for review and improvement.

Thats down to the City council - as I stated if it was the other lot = no problems ....

Comedy of errors at Sandhills station yesterday, have had little to complain about up to then if I'm honest. But waiting for Hunts Cross train after queuing up before and on the steps to the station, first two trains were for Central, we were told by a guard the next train was Hunts Cross 8 carriages, just as we were getting on was told the train changes at Central ? Asked why he didn't know, so really we could have got on the earlier Central trains, so gets off at Central short wait ten minutes gets on Hunts Cross train again, again 8 carriages, told by announcement train does not stop at Cressington. Starts going Guard on train pulls emergency stop....at Cressington ! All told to get off train as it goes no further, no explanation. Train reverses out of way 15 minutes later the new train to Hunts Cross arrived gets off at the station at 20:30. Drive home and chillies in for 21:00 . If I could have shook Steve Rotherhams neck at that time it would have been well worth it.
My experience at Sandhills has been really positive so far. For the volume of people using it, I think they're doing a really good job of managing it. Used it again yesterday and, at least for southern-bound travellers like myself, I think it's remarkable how quick you're on a train.

Having said that, what you're describing sounds woeful 😂

Even the shuttle buses can be an absolute pain because of the traffic. Used it twice - once after the Brighton game (pretty good), and once after the Villa game where we sat on the shuttle bus for 45 mins, barely moving for most of the journey time.

I'm in the South Upper, relatively central, just sort of in line with the 6 yard box towards the east stand box and I'm about 2 thirds of the way up. Been relatively lucky with my neighbours. Fella who sits in front of me seems sound, but what has surprised me a lot is the number of 60+ year olds around us. Firstly, that stand is meant to be the new Gwladys Street, why would you want to sit there if you're not one for any singing etc, and secondly it's really steep - not the best for anyone not brilliant on their feet anyway.

We haven't had anyone moaning about singing or telling people to sit down etc, but the demographic of the stand is off. I'm not saying we need every scal in the ground there (well, actually that would help), but I really think that there's a sizeable number of people who made questionable decisions about where they wanted to sit.
I thought initially they would map stand to stand so people in the gwladys street would have been offered a seat in the south stand etc however they went for a tenure based system and also a huge section of the main stand/bullens views have been lost to corporate or club view

What this has meant is that people have been dispersed all over the stadium and the south stand will be full of people who previously sat all over goodison

I'm in the SE corner upper and also surprised by how many older/people with mobility issues there are in the upper tiers which are steep, maybe over time and next season people will relocate to the lower tier

I haven’t been able to acquire a ticket yet so maybe shout me down, but it sounds too quiet on telly, is it a true reflection?

Maybe losing 0-3 at home on a wet Sunday isn’t the e best place to start a song, but when else is it?

It's very simple....... Far too many people parking in and around the Ten Streets area. Rendering the shuttle buses practically unusable for at least an hr before and after the match.

The Grt Howard St junctions at Costco and Leeds St cannot cope with the number of cars and it practically grinds to a halt for an hr or more before and after. Hopefully, a proper Bus Lane with priority at these lights will be fully implemented soon..... as the novelty of the new stadium will wear pretty thin as the weather inevitably worsens.

Tbh, if you're going to the Wirral and you're able-bodied, you would be far better off walking to town and getting the train. Then people with genuine mobility issues, and the rest of us using public transport would at least be able to get to and from the stadium in reasonable time. Not everyone is a diehard fanatic and will put up with it as it is for too long. The numbers leaving early regardless of performance is also quite telling.

Imo, Grt Howard St should be closed to all but blue badged cars or those with corporate parking for at least that hour either side of the match.
The Great Howard/Leeds Street junction needs to be a yellow box junction. Sometimes not a single car gets through on the green light because cars going in the different direction are blocking the road.

the ground is not consistently noisy, but when it gets going it is loud.

mics are placed near away fans in all stadia as they tend to make noise more frequently.

This. Been twice now to the new ground, down from Scotland so also a contributor to the cars and day trippers in the ground : )
Park at the Pall Mall NCP.

The junction at Great Howard/Leeds Street is a disaster on game days, I have no idea why there is no police presence managing traffic flow.
Until there is a longer term solution it needs police directing traffic and stopping the gridlock.

I know I’m going to get stick for this but the atmosphere in the family enclosure was grim yesterday, I know that if you take your kids to the game then you should expect them to hear some bad language but I don’t understand why you’d get tickets for the family enclosure and start f’ing and blinding in front of kids. My 6 year old lad was traumatised enough watching the game, never mind all the anger around us.
