The greatest crime of all

And if we had spent our money on aging stars that only have a couple of seasons left and zero re-sale value? That would be a better business model?

We lost a game of football. It happens. Let's not pretend the sky is falling in just because we have lost at our home ground for the first time.

Not saying superstars with no re-sale. It didnt have to be black or white but what's happening now is just insane. We have no premier quality strikers or full backs. And squandering our first season, to set the tone at BMD, is a shocking dereliction of duty

I don't know about a crime but I question whether or not they are being given a fair crack of the whip. If however the reason is genuinely that Moyes doesn't think they are good enough then the recruitment team need sacking. This was yet another chance of a reset and in true Everton fashion, it crumbles before it builds.

Never ending bloody misery. We just can't for some reason buy good strikers, we get them sporadically, Lukaku, Yak and Saha but considering it is probably the most important position we just never get it right. Sick of it.

Agree, it shouldn't be black or white. But the other option - proven forwards with a resale value are mostly out of our price range.

Spending £75m+ in the summer, cash we barely have, on future prospects like Dibling, Barry and Anzou. Not even getting into whether they are talented or not but surely this was the season we needed solid players in areas of such obvious weakness. Am angry for the thousands of fans and our first season in the new stadium being so underwhelming.

If Dibling doesn't come on when 2-0 down at home with 30 mins left what on earth is the point of spending precious cash?!?
