New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Originally, you had to show your ticket at the perimeter wall to get into the plaza pre-match, but that's slowly slipped away and it's now a bag check.

They had the metal detectors back up, which aren't always there, although I don't think they were being fully monitored.
Crikey, it's beginning to sound like it's easier to get through security at Liverpool John Lennon than into the plaza

The first couple of games was a ballache to get in with the ticket inspections and metal detectors at the wall.
They weren’t there at the Palace game, but the metal detectors were back yesterday, but no one checked our tickets.

At the moment it feels all forced. The stadium is designed for inconvenient access, so you can’t leave the pub 20mins before kick off and be in your seat for z cars.
Instead they want you on site consuming their food and beer.

Take me back to GP.Sounds easier to enter Fort Knox than HDS.
For balance - yesterday was my 5th game at the stadium and I have never experienced any of these problems entering the place that I read about on here.
The only time I have been asked to show my ticket on entry to the plaza was for the test events.
There are walk through metal detectors inside the wall (which have never been problematic) but I have never been subjected to any kind of search. 🤷‍♂️

1 hour and 25 minutes to get from the ground to the tunnel.

Shocking. Something needs to be done. What that is, I don’t know but its making going the match an absolute ball ache

It's very simple....... Far too many people parking in and around the Ten Streets area. Rendering the shuttle buses practically unusable for at least an hr before and after the match.

The Grt Howard St junctions at Costco and Leeds St cannot cope with the number of cars and it practically grinds to a halt for an hr or more before and after. Hopefully, a proper Bus Lane with priority at these lights will be fully implemented soon..... as the novelty of the new stadium will wear pretty thin as the weather inevitably worsens.

Tbh, if you're going to the Wirral and you're able-bodied, you would be far better off walking to town and getting the train. Then people with genuine mobility issues, and the rest of us using public transport would at least be able to get to and from the stadium in reasonable time. Not everyone is a diehard fanatic and will put up with it as it is for too long. The numbers leaving early regardless of performance is also quite telling.

Imo, Grt Howard St should be closed to all but blue badged cars or those with corporate parking for at least that hour either side of the match.

We park in the same place as we did for Goodison. It’s a horrible 30+ mins walk from BMD especially after a poor performance, but at least the rain had stopped.
The upside is once we get to the car, we’re well away from the stadium traffic. All in all, probably takes us the same time to get home from the final whistle but more walking and less time crawling along in the traffic.

At the walled bit he said he didn't need to see my ticket but they have searched my bag every time.

At Goodison I could barely hear the away fans but now its horrendous, could some sort of soundproofing for their bit be put in?

Too many people taking the car when they don’t need to.
