New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

….interesting that all the Rugby League TV pundits were talking about next weeks ashes game at ‘Everton’. No mention of BMD or HD, just ‘Everton’.

Quite happy with that, raising the clubs profile through the stadium.

Hope Cahill attends.
I refuse to utter or write, other than in quotation marks, the name of those ambulance chasing bloodsuckers who've taken control of our identity.

The club have made a massive mistake signing away the stadium - our home - to make the stadium a commercial facility rather than have it as a football fortress.

Spurs have done exactly the right thing by hook or by crook to keep their stadium commercial free until they build up the sense of their new home ground.

We are - as the 'HD" lots told us - "just tenants". And it feels that way too.

Not sure Spurs fans would agree with this. Spend anytime in London and essentially the Tottenham Stadium is the most commercial stadium entity in the capital. It’s got go-karting, gigs, NFL and any event that makes cash..

Plenty folks tell me about how great the Stadium is, none of them mention the team.

Yes, but from an identity perspective.

When people speak of that stadium it's always Spurs. When they speak of Everton's they speak the name of a business which has now taken over what that stadium means.

It's appalling. And to have it plastered all over the exterior of the stadium in huge lettering and not even a mention of the club on the seating INSIDE the stadium is just a massive pisstake.

So they're essentially getting what they paid for Dave, it wasn't a charity raffle. Rest is up to the fans; what are they going to do, arrest them for calling it "the dock"? Up to them to say it every time they get face time on TV. Other clubs' fans will take notice and it'll steamroll from there.

This is a bold and principled position, but I think you could, and should, take it further.

Refuse to post anything in any thread which bears the name of those ambulance chasing leeches.

That will really cement your disdain, and demonstrate your moral consistency.

Making full use of Nelson Dock for parking and now a helipad 🤔

The club's owners gave them EVERYTHING. That's clear enough now. No competing with the club's identity or heritage, just a blank facility for corporate forces to do with what they please: be that the ambulance chasers or Budweiser or whoever.

No fan can defend or 'understand' or contextualise that.

Can anyone tell me if you can get near the Tai Pan in a car after the game? Trying to sort a lift home for one of my lads and can’t work out where to suggest he gets picked up. Will be heading back towards Bootle 👍🏻

You should assume parking around the stadium will be a nightmare on every match day, allocated parking is probably the safest bet to be honest. I’d walk toward scotty road and wait in the Sainsbury’s, it’s a bout a 20min walk.

Regarding the stadium, I do agree with us really needing team name lettering on the seats. It’s a touch I felt was hopefully coming eventually. I’d also like to see more blue on the exterior. There’s a part of me that worries they won’t ever put lettering on the seats for the reason they want it to feel like a multi-purpose venue unique to anyone who visits for whatever purpose as opposed to someone feeling like they’re watching a concert at a football venue. If so, that’s a shame. I don’t think Spurs has lettering and their stadium gets used for other purposes.

It will always be the Everton stadium to me, don't care who sponsors it.

Bank on that.
