Match Thread Everton 0-3 Spurs . Sun Oct 26th. 4.30

It has been said before but it was a great error to allocate so much space to the away fans and in the key position they are in. Today was further proof they should be tucked away high up and out of the way. Sitting near to the chanting Spurs fans today was not a good experience. It didn't help with crowd morale. I was in the East lower stand and plenty were leaving long before the end. Everton, next season do something about it please.
think the horse has bolted on that with season tickets in north and east upper

the fans do have to be by pitch due to pl regulation, but ideally half would be in upper

the spurs fans were bloody noisy to be fair to them

Where to start…we don’t have a striker; our build up is ponderous; we win virtually nothing in the air; we win far too few second balls; Moyes’s substitutions today were far too late; Gana is visibly slowing; Mykolenko struggles and his passing is below par; I could go on, but I think I’ll have a pint instead.

Didn't think there was much between the sides at half time, but the fact was we were 2 goals down so some changes were really needed. When they didn't happen Spuds just came out and did their job in making the half a non-event, and even put a bit of gloss on the scoreline.

To make it worse I had a bunch of insufferable arseholes sat behind me for the first time in the new place, which made the day even bleaker.

Just lie like Newcastle and say the Safety Officer has deemed it so they can only be in the top corner at the back!

Yep, Tarkowski is a pound shop Peter Reid!
He looked like he didn't;t fancy that there today. I was watching him pushing and shoving a bit with van de ven in the Spurs box but he wasn't really prepared to engage with what he had to do.

I never want to see another player come to this stadium again and bully our lot around...especially a gob💩 like him.

Pick any year from 2008 onwards to about 2023 and the best teams then are way better than the teams now. Take the current league leaders who were laughably described as imperious after scraping a 1-0 win yesterday, they rely on set piece goals and can't hold a candle to any Arsenal team in the Wenger years.

Look at today's game which Tottenham won 3-0 to go into third.

Do you think they played us off the park with a scintillating display of free flowing football or demonstrate they are a top 4 team with an assortment of high quality attacking players?

No, they scored two goals from corners and benefited from an appalling display from a biased and unfair official who clearly has a problem with Everton.

The quality of football served up in the premier league is woeful, week after week by practically every team in it.
That’s just not true. Arsenal’s dream team were beating very average teams most weeks. The strength depth in the league is much higher now than it ever has been.

We were appalling at defending set pieces, but it has to be said - our fullbacks are turgid. We've got two of the most capable players we've had in recent years on either flank but neither Myko nor O'Brien can do anything with the ball. It breaks down every time the ball is played there.

You cannot play without fullbacks in the modern game.
Don't worry mate, it's not a position of importance tho.
