i believe our best number 10 is Grealish.
Plenty of benefit to shift him to the middle. Teams are beginning to target our left for obvious reasons.

Thing is though that there comes a point that we really have to start preparing for life without him and we have 4 other senior midfielders there now to properly look at in certain configurations (and thats not even including Harrison Armstrong).

And he's been far from our best midfielder, he been awful lately, giving the ball away to much, he's going the Afcon isn't he so well have to find someone for his spot in the team

That midfield will spend long stretches getting nowhere near anybody.

Where as one with Gana in wins the ball then immediately coughs up possession

Move him to right back. He immediately was better at progressing the ball forwards there. At CM he has some sort of unfortunate curse which prevents him from passing forwards.

I think you just see what you want to see in him..

He's the one lad that can hold his up after each game this season..

You can only player a forward ball when you have a forward option, someone making space for the pass.

Beyond that we have a striker that no player has the confidence in to waste a pass..

Our central midfield as a unit is awful in my opinion.

I don’t even dislike any of them individually but as a unit they struggle to get a foothold in a game or control it, unless we’re behind.

It’s a big issue.

I agree but I think there's enough in there to make a decent midfield three. Rohl and KDH as the 8s, with Garner/Gueye sitting.

The problem we have doing that is you probably leave Ndiaye and Grealish more isolated because there is barely any offensive support coming from the full backs. Annoyingly, I think it's a problem only solved next summer.

I don’t think Garner and Gueye are good enough as a unit in my opinion mate, I don’t even not rate either, but a unit I don’t think they work or frankly aren’t good as a 2. If we don’t have a foothold or can’t control a game from central midfield, then you can’t trigger KDH.

I was impressed with Rohl today, I’d be very tempted to drop KDH if I’m honest and play Rohl. If you look at our history, we never got over not having Doucoure dropping back to make a midfield 3, we still need that in my opinion, until we have better quality then Garner and Idrissa - neither are the future in my opinion and neither can control games as a two in unit.

Who should he pass to?

Because the ball is either lofted over his head by the defenders...or tippy tapped by KDH & Grealish...or Ndiaye gets bored and decides to cut their defenders to ribbons.

Hes not being used as a player to link defence-midfield-attack really...

He should be.

In the midfield hes the only one of the 3 who has excelled this season.

We probably do need to push him to RB but id be concerned at losing him centrally.

The CM area should be Garner, Alcaraz +1.

Its bewildering to me how Moyes cant see this.

Every damn game Gana + KDH start there and every game they are dreadful.
