Match Thread Everton 0-3 Spurs . Sun Oct 26th. 4.30

We're being overwhelmed a hell of a lot because oppositions now have two men on our two pivotal players, N'Diaye and Jack. It cant change until slowcoach Moyes takes his blinkers off, recognises this and changes the way were set set up.

Of course, we're behind the 8 ball from the off when the majority of our other players are sluggish and dilatory...half hearted challenges, inaccurate passes and lack of anticipation. Of course the suggestion box is full of tips re Beto....most of them, rightly ending in "off". Its about time someone opened it.

The score line flattered Spurs but we only have ourselves to blame. Our defending was not good and no-one can disagree with that.

The defence and the striker are our problem.......full backs are not helping our cause, Myko is dreadful...cannot pass and is useless to Jack Grielish.
Jake usually needs a good few seconds to know what to do with ball then is then closed down but Jake should be at CB in Branthwaites absence and is not a right back.

January is a must for full backs and another striker but I am happy enough with the midfield and wide men. 3 competent players and we will be a good team (2 x FB and Striker).

Gutted with the result but we deserved better so will not dwell too much. Going to be a long season again but will not be in danger. Think Moyes is being a little pig headed with his selection and needs to switch it about a bit such as starting Garner at RB putting Jake at CB dropping KDH into his preferred and stated best position and be proactive with subs. Well that is my whinge out of my system

Long throws, time wasting, VAR. PL football can be a hard watch at the moment.

It goes without saying that the striker and fullback situation is beyond desparate and needs fixing in Jan.

I don’t know why Moyes keeps reverting to the same starting 11 when that team is so unproductive. I’m not convinced Grealish, KDH and Ndiaye is an effective combo behind the ‘striker’. They are similar players and it makes us slow and predictable. Teams find it easy to defend against us. We just pass it around on the flanks and, if we are lucky, a deflected shot or cross will go out for a corner (which comes to nowt). I’ve said this before, but it reminds me of when Koeman tried to shoehorn three 10s into the team.
