2025/26 David Moyes

Done a good job since he has come back. Worlds apart from the first half of last season and the years before. And he hasn’t even been here a year.

Was a 2.5 year deal for a reason. It stabilises us and then progresses us. Even he said he isn’t here long term.

Some of the angst is over the top.

You can’t see anything wrong because There is nothin wrong with that statement …

There is something wrong with davek

His programme notes are infuriating. Full of stuff where he attempts to undermine our position; taking every opportunity to make us look like ten bob needing years to get anywhere.

"We came away from the Etihad disappointed with the result but still felt there were plus points we could take from the game.

We went there with a real belief we could get something on the day. We were positive and created opportunities, especially in the first half. However, their quality in several positions ultimately proved to be too strong.

Undoubtedly, there is still a gulf between the top teams and where we are at present, but the road to recovery at Everton was never going to be a quick fix. We are still pressing all the right buttons to try to fast-forward that process. We want to be competitive and regularly challenge the best teams in the league. Our aim is to give you supporters belief and good reasons to be positive for the future.

....To get closer to the teams at the top end of the Premier League table we need to be the very best we can be in every area of the Club. Hopefully doing that will help us to grow. At the moment small gains for us can be enormously important.

We are not at the financial levels of some of the teams above us but we are all working hard together to close those levels and reach the standards we would expect from any Everton team.

...and then he's trying to make Spurs into a super-power 'big club' - the Spurs that last won the title when JFK was President.

"Today we welcome Thomas Frank and his new Tottenham team to Hill Dickinson Stadium. They have been impressive since the start of the season.

Thomas has worked incredibly hard over the years at Brentford and has earned his chance at one of the traditionally ‘big’ clubs in England. I know Thomas well and always felt he would find himself making that step up."

Everything is always out of reach with this feller: being competitive with 'the big clubs' is a distant dream that needs loads of time and money. Someone should tell that to the likes of Leicester, Forest, Villa and Palace.

Twelve years of his banana to a gunfight mentality. I'm not sure he'll get away with that BS much longer, tbh.

Maybe you could organise another one of your one man fan protests outside the game tomorrow ?

Oh wait, you don`t go do you.

It is like listening to an old record. Maybe a slight remix of the original but same old song regardless.

Some people will say it’s realism, going on about the gulf in teams and finances, but isn’t there also a realism in the phrase ‘any team can beat the opposition on their day’? One of cornerstones of what makes this league the best in the world.
That’s the sort of mentality I doubt we will ever hear from Moyes, unless it’s justifying why we’ve been beaten by this seasons promoted team or knocked out of the cups by teams we should be beating.

It's the same self-serving downbeat guff we've heard for the 12 years he's been at this club for.

His biggest task today is to weaken the feeling that's out there among fans that much better is now expected and falling short of that is unacceptable.

Moyes has noted that and he'll keep trying to combat and undermine it.
