2025/26 David Moyes

I dunno - we’re sitting in a much improved state and all some people can do is moan.

I think its been a very fine line this season to be sitting on 11 points or 7/8. The performances have been very patchy. We've played 3 of the current bottom 5 and won 1 d1 L1.
Saying that i will never stop saying it. We've gone into another season without a main central striker contributing. It always amazes me we're not bottom 3 at times because of that.
If this club could just go get a half decent centre forward, doesnt have to be brilliant, just half decent. And two fullbacks we'd be going a long way to be an outside bet for Europe.

"You want to build expectation...but in the same breath you shouldn't forget where we've been for quite a few years and that we're just coming out of the difficult financial problems...a lot's going to have to change until we get back to the levels where we all hope to get back to".

He just cant help himself, can he?

He'd be talking about taking a banana to a gunfight if he was manager of Real Madrid.

What a dour and ambition-less manager of men.
I cant see what is wrong with statement, it's true and he's not papering over any cracks.

You might have have a better point if he came out with that in 12months time after another transfer window.

I dunno, there's loads on here that have an inferiority complex and see Moyes as a kindred spirit.

His lowering of expectations, which is what he has done in every post he's had, it's why the Man Utd fans had no time for him from day dot, is why I didn't want him back. He wants to project himself as some sort of miracle worker and saviour with every minor "achievement" (one trophy in a 25 year career, remember) and the best way to do that is to present our prospects as incredibly low so he can take credit for doing better than that lowly outlook. The sad thing is that so many of our fans are so beaten down that they lap it up. If we go out of the FA cup early doors there will be loads on here saying it's a good thing just like they did when we went out of the league cup.
There were far, far more people fuming over going out of the cup with over-rotated squad than there were people happy with it. I'd suggest anyone saying it was a good thing was putting on a brave face to hide their disappointment.

I highly, highly doubt anyone will let him off if we also go out early in the FA cup.

I find the types on here demanding that we can accept nothing less than Europe and then fuming when we don't beat a City or Liverpool to be far more problematic for the club. They're just never happy with anything.

The problem is going off his presser he’s not changing O’Brien at RB. Maybe we a few tough games coming up that’s understandable
But you’d think he’d try a few different thinks, start Alacarz in the 10 and drop KDH back or play Rhol. He can talk about being unbeaten at home , but the last 2 performances have been poor

He did a fantastic job last season- the posters on thus forum can praise or dislike him - results will take time - I reiterate the new owners will judge him on that basis - let's see where we are before the next transfer window ,!

Who cares - the points are on the board. It’s all about getting results.

I appreciate performances haven’t all been great, but there some good ones and the sign of a good team is winning when not playing well. That was the Palace match in a nutshell.

Hell, we even gave Man City a game. It’s a process and will take time to become truly an accomplished side.

Lol. It's all about points not performances but five lines later lauds a "performance" that yielded zero points.

So performances count or they don't? I love how you contort yourself in service of your idol.

There’s about the same amount of posters who want him actually gone as there are those who were not having any criticism of the cup exit and were straight out exaggerating other people’s often reasonable opinions.

Majority are not in either of those camps, but this thread and the way some people post would make you think there’s a huge group calling for his head.

It’s all overblown

Performances count, but points are what really matter.

West Ham thought they were better than Moyes and look at them now.
