2025/26 David Moyes

"Blame game" - how ridiculous and childish.

Angus Kinnear is clearly not in charge of transfers.

It's been documented that Moyes (manager), Hammond (negotiator) and Kinnear (CEO) were the transfer committee.

Kinnear, as publicised quite clearly only signed off on transfers once Hammond had negotiated them.

What on earth do you think Moyes was up to?
Late night post m8, just ignore it, cos I'm to dead to debate it..

Glasner would get utterly destroyed by our constantly moaning fans.

Moyes' greatest strength is he ignores us and just does Moyes.

We get the managers we deserve.

Yes, that's right, I'm blaming THE FANS. @chicoazul
Except he wouldn't. He's not Graham Potter, he seems like a robust and single minded individual. I also think the scariness of our fans is massively overblown, beyond booing and phantom headlocks we're not exactly Boca Juniors ultras.

Mate, we made Tom Cleverly cry. NEVER doubt the (former) Park End Dar Ultras.

"You want to build expectation...but in the same breath you shouldn't forget where we've been for quite a few years and that we're just coming out of the difficult financial problems...a lot's going to have to change until we get back to the levels where we all hope to get back to".

He just cant help himself, can he?

He'd be talking about taking a banana to a gunfight if he was manager of Real Madrid.

What a dour and ambition-less manager of men.

If he keeps his job for the next couple years, he’s probably got another year,
Before that talk will start to wear thin.

I dunno, there's loads on here that have an inferiority complex and see Moyes as a kindred spirit.

His lowering of expectations, which is what he has done in every post he's had, it's why the Man Utd fans had no time for him from day dot, is why I didn't want him back. He wants to project himself as some sort of miracle worker and saviour with every minor "achievement" (one trophy in a 25 year career, remember) and the best way to do that is to present our prospects as incredibly low so he can take credit for doing better than that lowly outlook. The sad thing is that so many of our fans are so beaten down that they lap it up. If we go out of the FA cup early doors there will be loads on here saying it's a good thing just like they did when we went out of the league cup.

No one has forgotten what happened, you want to see significant progress year on year to move the club on. Otherwise it just becomes the inevitable excuse when things are not going well, again.

Other clubs have had some awful times as well.

As much I think Hes tedious, Im glad Lee Dixon said what he did because it hit a nerve with some people and so it should.

Stop going on about the past and work to make success for the younger generations of fans.

Yeah, not sure about that. At least not around here.

Nothing he said is unreasonable. But there's a shelf-life to that type of talk, and he'll likely go way beyond that based on past history.

He said there today he's noticed a positive change in the club's fanbase...it's called 'expectation', and he needs to get with the programme of fulfilling it or GTF.
