Load's of Irish Tricolors, Union Jacks, Palestinian, Israeli, and Ulster flags.

Communities asserting their own cultural, political, religious identities.

The City seems happy to accommodate them all.

In fact that was the original purpose of flags. It seems that it still is.

What about them?

That the act of putting up a flag should be characterised as hatefully territorial, and I was wondering how that holds up in the case of the many rainbow flags in Brighton?

I lived in England my first 38 years, in US now, but the far right differentiated themselves in their use of the Union Jack with NF painted in white on the flag. Has the UK now ceded ownership of the flag to the far right?

If so it is sad, because there was nothing more patriotic than to see it displayed on the voting booths or at village fetes or on warships back in the day.
