You just have to 'skim' over some of the posts then its not so annoying.Last night was that shocking in here that I ended up going and chatting about Stats, and that says something

I missed the rule change about their only being 11 members of a squad then, I guess?I must have missed the rule-change about being able to field 3 keepers at once.
There's pages of moaning because we didn't beat Many City mate. What is that if not a massive sense of entitlement from some? Reasonable people have moved on and accepted we got beat by one of the best three teams in the league and chalked it off.I don't know why you feel the need to make up imaginary scenarios about sticking fingers in ears, screaming about losing matches and proclaiming "I WANT IT AND I WANT IT NOW". There's been almost none of that unless you include Dave and he doesn't mean it, he's just farming for reactions. It's weird that you're going to these lengths when some posters are less keen on Moyes than you are. You think he's doing a very good job, I think he's doing OK and think that others may do better. It's not exactly an extreme position no matter how you'd like to frame it. A diversity of opinion is a good thing for a forum, no?
Ah I see spending £97 million is nothing, good to knowHe didn't spend a good amount of dosh at all. Our biggest signing was £35m which gets you nothing nowadays.

I didn't make any mention of beating Liverpool or City, I actually thought we did ok against City for long stretches of the match but I thought we were poor against the RS for much of the game and it didn't look like we were set up to do anything other than survive against them which I thought was an ill advised strategy. As I've said many times, Moyes is fine, he'll keep us comfortably in mid-table but that is likely where we will stay under his leadership. Many people on here are fine with that but I'd prefer us to look more carefully at where we could be in say 18 months time. There's pages of moaning because we didn't beat Many City mate. I think he's doing an alright job bang in line with reasonable expectations. Nothing stellar but certainly not "below expectations".
Anyone who is unhappy right now or thinking about other managers needs to ask themselves if it was fair to want a team to go from the bottom of the league to a European spot and stop getting upset when it doesn't happen.
Being upset and asking if another manager would have us winning against City and Liverpool is an extreme position, sorry but it is.
12 clubs spent more than us. Some considerably more. Last season’s champions for example spent more than that on a single player, not just once but twice. We spent just £1m more than Burnley. 6 clubs spent nearly twice as much as us. You do realise it isn’t 1998 when £97m would get you 4 world class players.Ah I see spending £97 million is nothing, good to know
Ok so if you agree to take those two matches out of it, what is there to be upset about to justify talking about other managers right now?I didn't make any mention of beating Liverpool or City, I actually thought we did ok against City for long stretches of the match but I thought we were poor against the RS for much of the game and it didn't look like we were set up to do anything other than survive against them which I thought was an ill advised strategy. P.S. it was Moyes himself who stated that the aim for this season is challenging for the European spots.
win: allHaven't read the last 10 pages but just want to know in advance which games are we expected to win and which aren't we so that there's no grey areas.
100% correct. I don’t really understand how people can get any enjoyment out of supporting Everton with the attitude that they display. Some people seem to hate the manager and virtually every player. They absolutely revel in being negative about absolutely everything. It’s completely draining. And then they accuse Moyes of being sour/negative. The most miserable bunch of pr!cks you could come across. Imagine going for a pint with them after the match. I’d sooner stay at home and do housework. There's pages of moaning because we didn't beat Many City mate. What is that if not a massive sense of entitlement from some? We can accept not winning against City and the RS but we will definitely start fantasizing about how mythical magical other managers would have us winning those games too.Haven't read the last 10 pages but just want to know in advance which games are we expected to win and which aren't we so that there's no grey areas.
It's like a self imposed fairytale of Jackanory proportions. It's great. We can accept not winning against City and the RS but we will definitely start fantasizing about how mythical magical other managers would have us winning those games too.
Every other game we should be winning.
NSNO
I feel like I've entered into some Bizarro alternate universe where we haven't been threatened with relegation for the past four years because our squad was of horrific quality. It's like a self imposed fairytale of Jackanory proportions. It's great.
We were poor against Leeds, against Villa, against West Ham and poor for long spells against Palace as well as the poor showing at the pit, but, as I've said, we're doing ok, not especially good but ok. We're 12th but it's early in the season so we can go up or we can slide down the table, there's plenty of football to be played. It's odd to want to shut down any criticism, no matter how mild, even at this stage. We've played well in patches and poorly in other patches, that's not especially controversial, I don't think. Moyes is a part of what happens on the pitch, he gets praise when he gets it right and criticism when he gets things wrong, like anyone else. You have claimed that there has been an overreaction to recent results, and that may be true, but you seem to be overreacting to that overreaction to me. Barring one or two posters nobody has genuinely suggested sacking Moyes or anything like that, they have just queried whether he is the best man to take this club forward in the medium term. That's a reasonable thing to discuss on a football club's forum, surely?Ok so if you agree to take those two matches out of it, what is there to be upset about to justify talking about other managers right now?
A cup loss to wolves with a rotated squad and a flukey loss to Leeds thanks to a single decision that went against us.
Yes, he said Europe was the AIM not an expectation. We are still within a shout of Europe so everything is on track, isn't it?
