2025/26 David Moyes

Last two evenings have been mad in this thread. Utterly bonkers. The Moyes effect!

We're alright, I'd rather see us build steadily rather than go boom and bust. A season of mid-tavle mediocrity has to be better than crapping it constantly like many in recent times.

As I said to matty earlier, we should be looking to win the FA Cup. We don’t have any European footy as a distraction. Go for it, end the trophy drought .

The main criticism I have of him this season is that we don't and haven't punished teams. Should have beat Villa and West Ham. Should have been ahead against City etc.

There have been a lot of dropped points already. It's nice that we are competing and feel irritated not to have won games rather than being happy with a draw because we are that poor but we do need to start taking advantage of those moments and games that we are the better side.

Still think the squad is poorly balanced mate. Defence and midfield are bout 75% complete in my opinion.

The bulk of our signing need to transition and adjust, Rohl, Dibling, Azou and Barry, all clearly bought for the long term - I’d be surprised if we see green shoots from the, before the Spring.

Wel lack consistency and cohesion in my opinion, the job of work this season for me is managing transition.

the top clubs liverpool arsenal virtually don’t lose to anyone

and yes moyes has a bad record against these sides

but OUR clubs have had a bad record against these for YEARS

The record of the club regardless of the manager is absolutely shameful. With fans in the ground this is the last time we won at these grounds.

Anfield: 1999
Old Trafford: 2013 (v Moyes) 1993 before that
Emirates/Highbury: 1996
Stamford Bridge: 1994
White Hart Lane/Spurs: 2008
Etihad: 2010

Considering we were so poor in the 90s and some of those teams were very good and have been very flaky at periods since vs better Everton teams then it’s an absolutely shambolic record.
