I rest my case.Wow, pretty insulting mate. I don't think it was a great appointment. I think it was backward looking and completely uninspiring. Any half decent manager would've kept us up last season. Then we could've built on that in the summer. Instead the owners have let him dictate his return and as a result we've binned off the DOF role and put him in charge of pretty much everything. He ain't going to win a trophy, we're going to play some fairly uninspiring footy while he's here and we'll have wasted money and time employing him.
TBH if we had played like that in the first half at the pit - who knows - we just sat back ....The only one with baggage here is you. It was a very very good performance until we conceded the second goal and understandably our heads dropped. It was probably the best away performance that we have had at City since their take over. Moyes will 100% be here next season. We would be insane to get rid of him.
It was a joke. ,You are exactly the type of person I refer to when you call people names, what does whopper even mean?, you are such a nice person, I am ashamed to be associated with Evertonians like you.

What case ? he is an interim stop gap ....I rest my case.
Is there such a thing as a non interim stop gap? He'll have the job for as long as he wants it. The owners will look at all of our recent appointments and what happen d when he left West Ham and realise better the devil you know. What case ? he is an interim stop gap ....
The new owners will be ruthless mate not his Uncle Bill to protect him anymore like first time around - lets just see how we do ... Its his squad this time this season ....Is there such a thing as a non interim stop gap? He'll have the job for as long as he wants it. The owners will look at all of our recent appointments and what happen d when he left West Ham and realise better the devil you know.
Moyes has recruited James Smith as Director of Scouting and Recruitment, responsible for leading the scouting network and managing recruitment strategies. After Moyes he's going to be the main person in the team. Moyes brought him through at Everton in his first spell. Moyes and Smith are big on data analysis so there's no change there. I would take it with a pinch of salt what Kinnear is implying. Moyes is in overall charge, that was one of his demands when they offered him the job. What Angus was saying is that Moyes was up all nights watching videos of players that were put to him, so yes he did have the final say, but it was out of a pool of players put to him, not vice versa. He possibly chose a couple but it certainly wasn't structured the way it previously was with him.
Also listening to Angus, its only going to change more to the route of say Brighton, Bournemouth and those sort of teams, Angus put it to the friedkins about working with a certain 'Data, Analytics firm' and they didn't only just say yes, they went and bought the whole company.
The way it looks is the future we will be looking for a coach who works with the tools given, rather then a manager who wants his own tools..
Tho thats only how it sounds, I haven't actually got a clue what's going to happen..
Anyone who genuinely thought Europe was on after four years of relegation battles needs their heads checking JosephAll I am pointing out is I doubt if we fair any better than last season - the talk of Europe early on etc may be a pipe dream - now that Brathwaite id under the knife again is a big blow - plus DM should have sorted our fullback positions out in June - a number one priority IMO ...
I come across poorly but this is what you resort to when I try and honestly respond to your post?!This is why the naysayers are being laughed at, because you come across as petulant pants pissing whingers who expect us to win every match.
This outrage is really only over 1 loss then? Talk about overreacting. You want everyone up and arms and still raging over a cup loss where we played half our squad players a month ago?
Leeds was us getting done by the refs.
We can't be expecting to beat City or Liverpool realistically. Sure we can hope for it but you can't piss and moan if we don't beat the top of the table teams.
So the only match we've lost this season he deserves some criticism for us that Wolves cup match. If there's only one loss to be drag him over the coals for three months into the season then he's doing alright despite the doom sayers wanting to complain because we are comfortably mid-table after being perennial relegation battlers for four seasons.
Yes it's a fair assessment of anyone throwing a wobbler because people aren't raging with them that we've lost four matches as you and others are doing now.I come across poorly but this is what you resort to when I try and honestly respond to your post?!
We're in 12th place in the league, that's fine but it's nothing to crow about. And, yes, we're out of the league cup against a team who hadn't won a game in ages. It's reasonable to be underwhelmed by the season so far. Not a single person has said we should be winning every game, you've invented that in your own mind to justify your fury. You've also rationalised every point loss in your post above including some sort of anti-Everton conspiracy with the refs in the Leeds match, where we were very poor, all because a couple of people don't like Moyes. If anyone is being petulant it's you.
DM did a great job last season - I agree even with additions IMO do not make up for the lack of two good fullbacks & the blow of losing Brathwaite for a hell of a long time - pre season without him we looked poor defensively - DM will not be judged by us mere fans, but the new owners on how we proceed this season ....I come across poorly but this is what you resort to when I try and honestly respond to your post?!

I don't know why you feel the need to make up imaginary scenarios about sticking fingers in ears, screaming about losing matches and proclaiming "I WANT IT AND I WANT IT NOW". There's been almost none of that unless you include Dave and he doesn't mean it, he's just farming for reactions. It's weird that you're going to these lengths when some posters are less keen on Moyes than you are. You think he's doing a very good job, I think he's doing OK and think that others may do better. It's not exactly an extreme position no matter how you'd like to frame it. A diversity of opinion is a good thing for a forum, no?Yes it's a fair assessment of anyone throwing a wobbler because people aren't raging with them that we've lost four matches as you and others are doing now.
Sticking fingers in your ears screaming about us losing matches when the reality is we lost two matches to teams with far better squads than ours, another due to a dodgy handball decision (hardly a conspiracy, just a poor decision that cost us), and the last a cup game where he rotated the squad too much. There's only one loss there you can actually justifiably be upset about.
12th place is fine, I'm glad we agree. I don't see any reason to be moaning about results right now or labelling it underwhelming. It's not reasonable at all to be underwhelmed by 12th unless you unreasonably had expectations that we were going to be doing better than midtable. Which would be massively unreasonable after four consecutive relegation battling seasons.
Anyone moaning about 12th right now is giving off huge Verruca Salt vibes.
"I WANT IT AND I WANT IT NOW"
You might want to make a case before you rest it, you whopper.I rest my case.
