1 little away defeat to City and people lost their God damn minds.
we aren’t top, unbeaten, highest goals scored.
mind you the moaners would still moan

Silva was hastily sacked - Martinez persisted with Tim Howard far too long cost him his job after a good season - Ancelotti defo poached back to Madrid - The Fat Spanish waiter & Big Sam were panic appointments - Koeman spent the most & with the DOF started the rot ..
Lampard out of his depth, but now doing well at Coventry....
Then on top of that Mosh & BK almost broke the club .....
The fact we have a new Stadia & have been bailed out is a pure blessing - & they hopefully get us up where we should be & DM will not be in the picture when that happens ....
totally get that but when you consider that he has had around 60 attempts to win an away game against those 4 clubs you would expect there to be a few in there. Like he genuinely might as well not bother even goingApart from Bobby's first season when we had Lukaku and Utd were in complete disarray, our last away win at Utd was 1992. For Liverpool our last away win in front of fans was 1999, Arsenal it was 1996. Chelsea it was 1995. Maybe it's an Everton problem rather than a Moyes problem? Those grounds are also pretty hard to win at even with a decent team. Arsenal, City and Liverpool do not regularly beat each other away from home.
He did a great job last season - no doubts his funds maybe limited - But IMO two full backs should have been sort back in June we got Barry & Dibling the latter who cannot get a game - yet our most ever expensive signing - & Barry not cheap who does not even look like a footballer IMO & he was not cheap -
In the modern game full backs are vital not just defending but as an attacking force - IMO we have got neither left or right back - you can excuse our right back as he is a CB -
DM should have sorted this out in his first two signings in June
Plus I admit in DMs pomp I never liked his football - he did well in places no doubts - our owners will judge him no doubt ....
But he consistently achieved above expectation league finishes while he was hear. Often with no transfer budget at all. If we could find someone like David Moyes who can scrape a few wins at those away grounds we should definitely hire him. Those games don't make it break our season.totally get that but when you consider that he has had around 60 attempts to win an away game against those 4 clubs you would expect there to be a few in there. Its what happens on the pitch - @Goat stated a half time we were all happy at 0-0 & our catching them on the break etc - He stated that we only have a good half & he was spot on - our players just tire ....Lets face it folks a lot of people like Moyes and a lot of people don't like him, its all a matter of opinion, surely that's what this forum is all about, opinions. What I don't like is all the abuse when someone disagrees with deferent opinions, there is no need for the abuse. We all have our own opinions.
as full backs are so essential, other sides are keeping hold as best they can. Dibling aint the most expensive player yet, it's possible I suppose but he's way behind in terms of fee compared to iceland. agreed, Barry wasn't cheap, but I can't see many cheap strikers signed. Moyes went and got Aznou, and tried a switcheroo with Patterson that didn't come off. Also went for a commanding specialist CM but we were out spent. Was Aznou the first signing? Moyes pomp was a sub £2m net spend. When he got a few players our football improved. He did a great job last season - no doubts his funds maybe limited - But IMO two full backs should have been sort back in June we got Barry & Dibling the latter who cannot get a game - yet our most ever expensive signing - & Barry not cheap who does not even look like a footballer IMO & he was not cheap -

Winning away at top four is all the matters apparently. Nothing else matters.Team is transitioning in my opinion, be a another few months of this - trying to get cohesion and consistency.
You'd forget how utterly rank we were under Moshiri, recovery will take a while.
It's a motley crew. I'm not sure what else you want me to say? We've done a very poor job of recruiting managers in the main.martinez
koeman
allardyce
Silva
Ancelotti
benitez
lampard
dyche
Moyes
in 12 years that. As you are so keen with the condemnation, here's your shot... fill your boots...

I think a big issue has also been our chronic lack of pace going back to the Kanchelskis days. The average teams that tend to get occasional wins at these grounds do so on the break with a quick winger or forward having a once a season field day. We haven't really had those types of players in the last 30 years. Even our best teams under Moyes relied on skill rather than pace and the top teams find that easier to cope with. We arguably now have the highest quality attackers we have had since Anders/Kanchelskis in Grealish and Ndiaye but we don't have a striker to finish things off.We still dont have enough goal scoring quality to convert a low % chances in a game mate.
If you want to win away at a CL club, if you get one chance you have to finish it.![]()
