2025/26 Michael Keane

Fair play to Moyes, he knows how to coach centre halves. Keane has been way better since he came in. Now if only he could learn to either coach strikers or get someone in who can

….thought he did fine again yesterday.

Can’t blame the CBs for that first goal, it was down to Ndiaye not tracking his runner. When an opposition wide player hits the bye-line, everybody central rushes into the box. Often a central striker will hold his run, some will go near post, some will go far, whilst defenders are looking at the delivery.

It’s why a cross from the bye-line is so dangerous. The same happened with us when Grealish scored against Palace. Ndiaye hit the bye-line and pulled back that delicious cross, to an unmarked Beto, the Palace defenders did exactly what ours did yesterday.

Spot on.
Anyone who's ever played football knows this.

One of them might of thought of marking the most prolific striker in Europe
Hundreds of centerbacks should have thought the same.

I thought the midfield went missing on both goals. Doku brought O'Brien out of position to let the through ball to the LB in, we had three midfielders in the line there at that point and one of them should have picked up Doku. And no pressure on the 2nd goal.

Keane's form has been vastly overrated by our fans simply because he hasn't made some comical errors. He's been fine, but he isn't Branthwaite. We are only 8 games into the season, not even a quarter of the way through. I don't want to see him play a full season, the errors and bad form will come. They always do.

I hope the Branthwaite rumour isn't true.

I agree here , hes been average and cut out the errors to goals a bit better thats all

That's why I'd give him a break,he played through a back injury for a lot of last season and think he was brought back too soon after the hamstring surgery.

Defo think he was brought back way too soon, that may be becasue of Jarod aka Jarrad also getting injured, our defence is like a house of cards, one of them getting injured creates a chain reaction.

If you remember the start of the season Jarrad went down and so did Myko, taking JT out as well really limits us.

I thought if we were ever going to see Jake move across this season it would be against City - dont think we will now.

Essentially Garner has been our covering full back.
