I think a club that has won 2 European cups, 1 league title, 2 FA Cups and 4 League Cups can hardly be described as a Championship side.
In the last 50 seasons they've spent 25 seasons in the second tier; 22 of their last 25 seasons in either the Championship or League One.

I think we can safely call them 'Championship'...or even a League One...side.

I think people are forgetting that Dyche brings Steve Stone and Ian Woan with him, who have very strong links to Forest. I think the fans will be fine with it, and it will be interesting to see how Dyche does with the best squad he's ever worked with.
What do you mean it will be interesting to see? It will be exactly the same as he's done everywhere at all times - dire football, 4-4-efffffffffn-2, HOOF.

He could have Real Madrid and still play the same way.

I think it would be very very hard work to get that squad he has relegated, Dyche is a very dull piece of work, and i hate to say it, but he will shore up that defence and they will get back in to a pattern.

It's just what happens once he clashes heads with the owner..
These clashes though will begin very soon!

Just imagine if he starts coming out with the various quotes he did during his Everton days about the squad / team etc. The owner will be on his back from the very first day.

Not even to mention his first 4 games:

Porto (H)
Bournemouth (A)
Man Utd (H)
Sturm (A)

I maybe don't think they will get relegated, but I do feel they are in freefall and a very tough, dull rest of the season.

Yeah to right, 2 managers in the space of a couple of months have talked themselves out of the job.

Once dyche ends their European dream, eyes will be on him.

How can they look at Burnley, Everton & Dyche and go 'yeah, i'll sign that'. They must be fearing relegation and just want a steady hand for 12 months.

or 12 weeks.

or 12 days.

Now we'll see if he can perform with better players. He has a striker there, and pace out wide so no excuses.

Bookies have them as 5th favourite to go down. 5/2, 2/1 etc. Surprised odds are so low, but then again - considering 3 go down - who would you give shorter odds?

It's all well and good saying they won't go down, but who does?

The thing is, I don't think Forest have appointed him just to stay up. They've legged Mancini, and there's a lot of managers out there so they think he's the best bet.

I figure maybe as close to Nuno in terms of defend first, and give any new fella a whole pre-season.

Probably wages/pay off. If they went down under Mancini the pay out would be a lot

Not sure why anyone would say these guys can't go down.

The more established PL clubs have to be wary this year, especially considering even after match day 8 the amount of points the newly promoted teams have got compared with same last year.

They have some decent players, but I do not think the additions of the likes of Zinchenko or Luiz (dodged one here) will have added anything.

Sels had an unbelievable season last year and they punched far above their weight.

Add in Europe and Dyche as manager...

Recipe for disaster... possibly.

We saw it when we tried to pad the squad out for Europe under Koeman - didn't work.

I expected Forest to struggle this season under Nuno. They faded bad last season, and with erratic transfers and Europe - I think he knew it too;

August 15: In the first week of the Premier League season, Nuno Espirito Santo admits his "unbalanced" side have a "major problem" as the Premier League returns, warning they are "very, very far" from where they should be.

August 15: Forest then advance on a quadruple deal for Omari Hutchinson, Douglas Luiz, James McAtee and Arnaud Kalimuendo.

August 22: A week later, Nuno says his relationship with Marinakis is "not the same" and admits "where there's smoke, there's fire" in response to reports his position at the club is under threat.

I wondered whether novelty of going from one style (defense/Nuno) to the other (loon all out attack/Ange) could pull them out and help them, even if short term - but the mistake I guess was it being Ange.

Laughing though at them embracing Dyche much more than Ange. They had it in for him from the off.
