There’s going to be a lot of wasted talent at Forest if Dyche is appointed.

Can see one or two of their creative players getting the hump
Hard to imagine many players NOT getting the hump. Their Brazilian, ball-playing CBs will no doubt love being told to just lump it up to Chris Wood’s bonce.

MGW will no doubt excel in the Doucoure “run around a lot” role.

FBs will relish having to treat anywhere over the halfway line as hot lava.

And EVERYBODY will love Gaffer’s Day.

I think people are forgetting that Dyche brings Steve Stone and Ian Woan with him, who have very strong links to Forest. I think the fans will be fine with it, and it will be interesting to see how Dyche does with the best squad he's ever worked with.

Yeah, we’ve consistently demonstrated over the years that bringing back coaching staff and players that “know the club” is a real boost to results.

He’s a crap manager and they’re crap coaches - though I’ll give Woany a pass because he played for Runcorn - and Forest and Nuno showed how important the fit is between coaches and club/players. It’s a massive oversimplification to say Dyche plays defensively like Nuno so they’ll be sound. They’ll survive for sure but, like us, they’ll do so in spite of him, not because of him.

Correct.

Any owner with sense will see Forest's recent upturn in fortune as just that: fortunate.

He'll be looking to protect Forest's PL status and sell them on in a couple of years.

They're essentially a Championship organisation. They need to be in the PL for the best part of a decade to alter that fact.
I think a club that has won 2 European cups, 1 league title, 2 FA Cups and 4 League Cups can hardly be described as a Championship side.

You aren’t going down. There isn’t a manager on earth bad enough to take that squad down, you are not in a relegation battle. Don’t let this absolute football terrorist gaslight you into thinking a scramble to 17th is the best you can hope for for the next 3 years. I still expect you to finish around 10th this season.

He should at least be able to allow them off the leash more than he did Burnley or us. That he will have an idea on how to shore up the defense is clear enough I’d say, but if he has anything about him he should be able to allow the talent they have to show if you assume he will give a solid platform

If he has Gibbs white playing as a second full back well that’s just a confirmation of what most people think of him

There going down with him in Charge

I think you are being unfair to big Ange , given more time he could have done it

I put this earlier in the thread...

Do you think if they do get relegated (and if we have a good season), we could maybe go after Anderson whilst everyone is fighting in out for Wharton.
I think it would be very very hard work to get that squad he has relegated, Dyche is a very dull piece of work, and i hate to say it, but he will shore up that defence and they will get back in to a pattern.

It's just what happens once he clashes heads with the owner..

Unreal that hes landed another PL job, let alone one with a huge amount of talent in it. No excuses from him, he's got the kind of squad he's always said he'd want so should be able to set them up far better than how he had us for huge stretches of games.

Oh and please please PLEASE sign Dwight Mcneil.
