Old Photos Of Where You Live

That landing stage was a death trap in bad weather. I can remember waiting for the ferry to go kver with my Mum and Dad when it was really windy and the river was choppy. The far end of it to the left was moving up and down well above my head height and it created an oscillating movement down the length of it like a wavy line on a graph. There were ferry workers on the ferry ramp dragging people on to make sure they didn't fall between the wall and the ferry... 🤢
It must have been bad in the early 1900s plus it looks side on to how it was ...in the 1950s 60s

A bit of a lengthy read but worth it. Photos in here of where the likes of Probe records and Aunt Twacky's once stood and what they are now, along with busts of Carl Jung (still there) and much more...

Definitely a Pool of Life in My Town...

Interesting read. Remember Deaf School at Eric's.
