Don't think we can afford to tbh. Not sure we can afford to keep playing Beto atm either hoping that he finds the back of the net, but at least he looks more robust and mobile.

He's got to look like he has some intent and get himself into a game (Barry). I watch his highlights video once a week to convince myself we haven't bought another dud striker.

Never going to happen given what he's shown so far. I'd actually start him for 3 matches in the reserves in the hope he can find some form there.

There is a goal on it (3rd goal) where he outmuscles the centre half, powers through with pace in on goal and finishes superbly.

Everything we haven't seen AT ALL in any minutes hes had so far for us, he shows it in that one goal. At the minute he looks like he'd struggle to get past a 5 year old child.

To me he looks like he has never played the game - needs a run out in the youth team for observation IMO

At the same time we have to actually make efforts to include him in the attack , as we have looked a little better attacking wise we dont pass well in the box , seems like we aimlessly just blast in a cross or do a no look pass in a defender. Barry has been underwhelming but he needs service too

Relies on players around him doing all the hard graft work ( as Newcastles attacking midfield players do ) We havent got the likes of Joelinton / Tonali and Bruno G who give it all. Just watch him in his games.

He isn't lazy, it's that languid running style which makes it look like he's not trying. Covers plenty of ground and even presses well enough, but he will never be everyone's cup of tea.

A strikers job is to score goals, everything else is secondary. People called Berbatov lazy because he didn't run round much, yet he knew where the goal was and didn't need fifty chances to hit the net. If we had a striker who could put the ball in the net 20+ times a season no one would care about pace or stamina or work rate.
