Totally agree but selling 15 players in 1 window following the last 5-10 (30) years of mess is going to take several summers to fix I think.

I just don’t feel as poorly about RB as a lot of folks on here. It’s a need for sure. But we’ve got options and ways of rotating players. We don’t at striker. It’s Beto or Barry and who’s not the worst at the moment that gets the start.
To put it bluntly, we suck way more at scoring goals right now than conceding them. If we could only spend all our money on one player this window or next that would instantly transform us, it has to be a striker.
What good is buying another Branthwaite and sticking him at RB if we can never score? For me, strikers all day. Proven ones. Or keep improving each season until elite strikers are seriously debating whether to join the Sky 6 or us and really making that decision tough.

Mental how these positions have been the major priority for numerous seasons now. Could argue we’ve tried to sign strikers but keep signing crap ones. How we haven’t even bothered signing full backs is ridiculous.

I agree he's not quick quick i was just comparing him to Chris Wood as if we're so desperate to take a mid 30s journeyman striker I'd prefer the more mobile one

Chris Wood was scoring 20 goals in the league last season while Wilson couldn’t drag himself off the treatment table.
We procured O'Brien and ndiaye from the French League and I know Mangala had his detractors but I thought he was decent. Usually the fees for players from that league are pretty affordable. Bournemouth who sold most of their starting back line obtained a couple replacements from the French League and they were able to adapt very quickly obviously you have to focus on particular players that have the correct attributes but it seems like there's some gems available in that league

Well this is true. But I have serious doubts he'll hit those kind of numbers again. As I said Mike I'm not championing either of them
