….not sure about ‘the scared for the ball’ suggestion, the times I’ve seen him he’s often beckoning for the pass to be played to him. It’s a good trait.

That’s debatable, when you look at Hutchinson going for 35, yes we tried for wingers who were maybe more ready than Dibbling but they didn’t want to come. Same as the strikers we wanted Delap and then Woltemade. We couldn’t get all the players we wanted aged between 23 and 27, so im glad we’ve invested in youth instead of paying 20/30 mil on 3rd and 4th rate players aged 27/28 like we’ve done in the past

I think we need the lad a bit of time to settle and we don’t have to rush it. With all due respect to Southampton he come to a different expectation and size of club. He will feel a big responsibility especially given the transfer fee. He is now playing in front of 50000 fans and to packed away support wherever he plays so I think given time he will be ok. He has to adapt and adjust and I think he will.
